Hi I am new here this is my first post. I was Curious about long hair in regards to a job , I am currently 18 and looking for a job. My hair is past my shoulders and some people insist that i cut it to get a job. I want to know how well a ponytail would work towards getting a job, not really looking for something that requires a suit (not that i could get such a job without a degree)so if anyone could tell me how well that works or has any advice it would be appreciated.
Wear a suit and tie to the interview. It doesn't matter that you won't be required to wear one for the job itself, just wear one anyway. Wash and comb your hair and dress nice and you'll be fine, even without a ponytail.

If they are going to freak out about a neat ponytail, likely they are going to freak out about other stuff on the job. And who wants to work in a place like that?
With any luck, you will find a place that is more interested in your quality and abilities as a worker and will treat you accordingly.
