First I'd like to thank everyone again for their enthusiastic responses to my previous post about getting engaged.
My fiancee and I spent a week staying with friends in Sedona, Arizona. We did a lot of hiking around the Sedona area and also went to the Petrified Forest/Painted Desert area.
It's been quite a while since I posted any photos showing my hair so I included some in this update. I wish it was thicker but I'm trying to appreciate what I have and enjoy it. I suspect I could be getting nearer to terminal length or at least a terminal length where I still have some bulk of hair.

Absolutely stunning Jason, are those colours real or have they been 'tweaked'?
~ Dave
Thanks Dave. I used a photo processing program to color correct/enhance so I think that added to their vividness.

Hi Jason,
WOW,what an awesome group of pictures from your trip to Sedona!Like I stated in a previous reply to you I was out there around a year and a half ago and the landscape is just breathtaking. You couldn't have picked a nicer place to travel to with your future wife.I salute you in finding that perfect mate being that's not the easiest thing in the world to accomplish.Longhair And You,Perfect Together!Just a little take on an old New Jersey state slogan:)Congrats again my friend!

Hey Jason, congrats on the engagement. Long time no chat! Arizona looks awesome. I was supposed to go there on a road trip a few years ago but we weren't able to. Now I see what I was missing. Looks like it might be a nice place to go next winter to beat all the Montreal snow and ice!
And as usual, your hair looks great. The full beard looks good too. The short length of the beard contrasts nicely with the long hair. Take care bro!
Fantastic update Jason;
Your hair looks fantastic, your fiancee even more so.....and of course the SouthWest scenery (I say with bias) is incredible !
Thanks for Sharing
Walter
Thanks Walter.
Yeah, I really love the southwest. It has a special beauty that is very powerful.
Hi Jason. You have a nice braid. While you were in Arizona, I was on the island of Maui from the 11th through the 18th. and the weather was quite nice there. I had a nice time in Hawaii. Have you been to Hawaii or are planning to?
Matthew
Thanks.
I loved my visit to Hawaii back in 1998. I went to Oahu and Maui.
Interesting enough, I also went to Oahu on the same year (1998).
Matthew
Awesome. That's all I can say!
Jason,
Wow !!!! Amazing pictures dude Great colors of the Painted desert and Petrafied forest
You and your Fiance are one handsome couple
Great shots of tie back braiding
What kind of camera do ya have?
Steve
Thanks Steve.
I use a Canon Powershot with 10 megapixels.
Awesome hair! And Arizona looks beautiful.
wow Jason...awesome hair...awesome view...awesome couple..awesome everything!!keep it growin man :))
Hi Jason,
Thank you for sharing these absolutely breathtaking photos, of this beautiful part of the world. Seeing these photos really does make me feel that I am getting away from the cold and stormy weather here in Nova Scotia. The colours just seem so rich in these photos! Perhaps, one day in the future, I will see these views with my own eyes, and perhaps Tammy might get there too, if she continues to recover. Also, I am so happy for the two of you!
I am sure you still have quite a bit more growth left in your hair, and I am sure that you should be able to achieve your original goal of belt length. It is looking great in these photos.
Take care,
David
Thanks David.
It was a nice break to get away from the Massachusetts winter. It was snowing when we arrived back so I was quickly brought back to reality.
My thoughts continue to be with you and Tammy. We are all hoping so much for her continued recovery. I check LHC frequently for updates on her condition.
Thanks again,
Jason
The pics are stunning, such breathtaking scenery. As well as the hair is looking very good in these pics I hope the trims a while back worked for you.
Kevin
Great hair and very great scenery..
Ill need to go there one day.. looks very romantic.
I can imagine when the sunsets there, it would be magical.
Btw, i love the halfbraid style.. I always wear my hair just naturally.
Jason -- great pictures of you two! Really, I am just so happy for you! :-)

Great pics, Jason! And great scenery, and great that your social life is now back on track; you now have a fiancee! Wow!
Your hair is full, wavy, and has a healthy sheen as always, and don't fret about terminal length coming into view. Terminal length is not a wicked witch on the yellow brick road, it is Oz! It is your destination.
Man, you have ARRIVED!
Congrats,
Bill
Thanks Bill for your kind words and also the support you've shown me on my journey. It's been a long road but I feel happier than I have in a long time.
Really beautiful photos Jason !
Just for my curiosity : how do you take all these photo of you ? An other person or a support for the cam + a timer ?
I hardly think you're near to terminal length. Maybe it's just a stall, after all. You should go without trimming for 6 months or more to see what happens.
Bye
Vivien
Thanks Vivien.
A friend took a couple of the photos. Other times I just used whatever platform might have been available to put the camera on.
I haven't trimmed since last summer so I might go for a very small one at some point but I won't cut off a larger amount like I did.
Hey Jason
Such fabulous photos and I never have been to the "Painted Desert." (The big rocks remind me so much of Sandstone of some type.) So much beauty in this posting and so much to be happy about. I mean REALLY happy! :-)
Thanks for sharing this wonderful trip with all of us.
Justin
ps: Your long hair looks plenty thick to me.
Those are some really cool photos. Your hair looks awesome as always. I always think the half braid looks great. Any tips for braiding your own hair like that?
Thanks Garth.
I also like the halftail braid the best. It's a little more tricky than a regular braid in that you have to keep the hair underneath out of the braid but with some practice, it's very doable. I think your hair would look fantastic in this style!
Beautiful pictures Jason! Great update. Thanks for sharing.
Bruce
Fantastic update Jason!
Congratulations also on your recent engagement!
You couldn't have picked a better place for you two to visit together.
May you and your fiancé have many happy years together!
