My name is Darrin and I have long hair. It is currently down to my lower back. I have had long hair for years and I was curious if any of you have your hair trimmed. I have been getting mine trimmed every 6 months. I do it to even it out and to remove split ends. My hair has been waist length but never longer. I believe that my hair would grow past my knees! I just wanted everyone's opinion on trims after you have met your hair length goals.
Thanks,
Darrin
Hi Darrin,
Great to hear from you and welcome to our community here. It's wonderful to hear that you have made such great progress over years and a great achievement and a goal milestone.
For me personally I've not trimmed him in several years and the ends are looking fine at the moment. It sounds like you have the genes for great growth. Why don't you fore go a few trims and let it grow longer and see if you can.
Why not post a picture and would be great to see.
Cheers,

NO TRIMS! (A few light "dustings:" 3 total in 6 years.) All but one dusting (in my case) I now realize were not needed at all.
One MUST cut however if their goal has been reached and the hair has grown longer. I simply do not know any other way that this could be done.
But to go to a Salon is to take ones life in their hands, for in "most cases" I never read all that much about happiness results. The opposite holds more true. "Tales of regrets and Nightmares of the Horrible."
Not that old chestnut!
Awesome! I love the length. My goal is to reach my butt, it seems you're getting close too!
Actually it has reached this length. Photo of last Oct. now outdated and about to be placed in the "Stock Photo Catagory." LOL
But what of a Chestnut
be that of a stock-
perhaps a new Walnut
will do if now not.
Is that english?
Hey, hair actually has a maximum length, so if it has seemed like it has stopped getting longer at your waist, perhaps it has... And you dont need to trim to maintain your hair, if you treat it well, it will stay healthy... and target and destroy split ends, use sharp scissors to cut just above the split on individual damaged hairs.
