Hey,
I saw a number of these posted earlier and meant to post my own. Here's a little collage of one of my short hair pics next to the most recent pic I have since growing. They're not exactly good reference points because of the different angles and all but yeah, at least the main difference is obvious.

The effect is both startling and GOOD!
Pony tail isa while off - may 4-6 moths at least but well worth waiting for.
Avoid scissors whatever you do.
I'll try. No more maintenance trims for me, as much as I can help it. And 4-6 more months you say? All right, here we go... I'll see what the next few months bring.

That's quite a contrast from short to long and I'm even more impressed by how fast you grew your hair out between the two pics.Your best option would be to just leave your hair alone and let it grow!No trimmin',no nothing.I wouldn't be surprised if you can do some sort of a tail in a year.Looks great my friend.Cheers

Wow, you think so? Thanks so much for the advice and encouraging remarks Mark. As for the hair growth, it seems to me like it's taking a pain-stakingly long time to grow, maybe longer than the normal growth rate even? I've had two trims, one in December and another at the beginning of March, so that doubtlessly has an effect on my total length now.

It looks blonde in the first pic but that's cause I messed around heavily with the lighting functions; I lightened the second one a bit too, so my hair looks a little lighter there as well. Feel free to add the pics to your album if you like, I don't mind.
Awesome change, it's a lot better.
About your first ponytail, I made mine when I was at 8 months of growth. I didn't look very good back then but I was so happy I could I wore it anyway and felt very confident by doing so.
My friends even called it a Vincentponytail :)
Right now I'm at 18 months and can almost make a full ponytail.

The growing is coming along really well. I've mentioned it elsewhere, but red hair is my favorite. You seem to have a real sense of style. I'm looking forward to seeing your future updates!
