Well it seems I thought having a one year update was so much fun several years ago that I wanted to do it a second time, LOL. Nothing like settling doubt about cutting your hair like doing it and seeing what happens to you :)
I also seem to have settled back to my old look with the facial hair too, seems to go with the hair.

Hair looks great. That year has made a huge difference. Your hair and facial hair combo reminds me a lot of Jimmy Hedlund from the excellent Falconer.

Well it looks like your getting back to your old previous self:)I suppose once you cut your hair the fact that you missed it enough to start regrowing says volumes about what being a longhair means to you.Some people just have to do the process, I guess, to see if they are in fact meant to be a longhair.Hopefully for you its a keeper this time.Anyway its great seeing you back on the board and I wish you the best my friend.Cheers

Hi Mark, yeah I am retracing my previous steps and the hair looks the same way growing out as it did last time. I could almost just put up my sequence of progress pictures from the first time and it would be the same.

Thanks a lot Max, this time I am a lot more patient than I was before about growing out the hair. Having done it already before now I just take it as it comes, I just seem to grow long hair naturally, must be my default state LOL

Thanks so much for the kind words and encouragement! I know I haven't been around as much as I would have liked, still battling health issues. It is encouraging though that one of the things I enjoy doing when I am feeling better is showing off the hair and hanging out with you guys :)

That's fantastic progress for one year of growth. I'm happy that you decided to regrow and I agree that the facial hair complements it very well.

Hi Jason, thanks so much for your kind words and encouragement. It seems that as soon as my hair gets to a certain length I want to change the facial hair as well.
I am not sure what length I am going for at this time. I know I didn't like my "before" picture I posted that's for sure LOL.
I think when I am able to focus on the "extras" like my hair then it may become more obvious what I should do. Unfortunately I am still strugging with serious health issues but after that I can consider it further.

You have awesome fine straight hair Chris. Your hair type is the kind which never seems to have any frizz or fly-aways and many people would love to have hair like yours. It looks great this far. I remember you posted a pic of when you had much longer hair and it looked AMAZING! Glad to hear that you're on your way back to that. The beard looks awesome too. I'm not sure if you're into metal but your awesome straight hair with the goatee makes you look extremely metal lol.

Hey thanks for the very kind compliments Phil. My hair is ok but like others I usually want what I don't have, I'd like a bit of wave and some body to my hair. Basically it just hangs there LOL. And as for frizz, hoo boy I do have that in spades. Enough to annoy me anyway. I can probably thank my not so great camera that it doesn't show so much.

LOL hey thanks DiO! Yeah I took a few "major" steps back from the longhair trip but nobody can say I don't take my own advice. I have always encouraged anyway who REALLY wasn't certain they wanted to keep long hair to cut it and find out the truth!

Glad you did this update Chris and yes, growing long hair IS fun and in my opinion looks better on you. (I am not just saying this because I am a longhair myself.)

I do seem to agree though, for whatever reason after cutting the hair I just started the whole thing over again. For now it seems the right thing to do and I do look better this way. Not exactly the way I would prefer to look with longer hair but better than with the short hair.

I remember doing a silly thing like cutting my hair after I had let it grow, oh boy did I learn my lesson, haven't even trimmed it since and it has been 11 years since. But I didn't cut it as short as you did, just down to where it was off of my shoulders. Anyway you're doing good and keep letting it grow out. You do look better with the longer hair.
