Hi, guys,
I was just wondering how you guys with longer hair cope while sleeping. My hair's about waist length and I braid it every night. My problem is that I'm quite a restless sleeper and recently, I've been waking up to find my braid wrapped around my throat. OK, it hasn't strangled me yet, but who knows... It's actually more annoying than waking up with a mouthful of hair was during the awkward stage.
Does anyone else have similar experiences or suggestions for what to do?
Hmmmmmmm,I have to admit I've never heard of that happening before but there is a first for everything.I wear my waist length hair loose while I sleep but I put on a T shirt and don't pull my hair out.So its sort of pinned to my back and prevents getting yanked if I toss around during the night.Might want to try this as it does work for me.Cheers

Maybe my other half is trying to tell me something! lol
It's been quite useful over a cold winter - no need for a scarf - but it can be quite irritating at night.
5 ponyties does it for myself.
I actually think I may have to start tailing it to sleep, although the thick part of the tail pushes on my neck. But when I don't tail it and wake up, usually it's . . . yikes!
Sweet dreams,

I remember those days. It took quite some time to brush out every morning. If you're not too worried about how you look while sleeping, you could try tying it at the crown of your head. That way it's not under your head through the night and if you don't mind looking like a pineapple, it speeds up the morning routine.

These days I just throw it towards the head of the bed. That seems to work best for me.
I don't think that would work too well for me as I'm a very restless sleeper.

I never have a problem with sleep. I just lay it to one side. I use 11 hair pony tail ties along the entire length of my hair. It works very well. I included an image of my hair loose to show just how long it is.

I can only aspire to that length of hair for now. My ends are still pretty full, so I don't think I've reached terminal yet, but we'll have to wait and see.
I don't have trouble with it tangling as I've been braiding it at night since it grew long enough, but as I say, I've been waking up recently with it wound round my neck. I dread to think what it would be like if I ever got to your length! I'm not worried about being strangled by it but it's just irritating to be woken up by it.
