My hair now has grown to about shoulder length and i love it. I love the whole lifestyle that comes with it. Only problem is. I'd love a kick ass beard to. But for some reason i just can't grow decent facial hair. all i can manage is a crappy goatee. I'm 25 so i doubt theres more growth to gain :(
Guess flowing locks will do.

That would be my ideal look. :P
Don't worry, for some men facial hair doesn't stop developing until 40's or sometimes even later.
I would have to definitely agree with that. I am mid-50 and only the last few years have all the areas fully "connected", and filled-in with the desired density.
Of course, with that advance in age, comes things not so keen like hairier shoulders, upper arms, the need to trim the ears, etc. I guess it is all part of the package of being a guy, but it should be a consolation that you are not done growing and developing into the look you want.

Be patient, young one.... You're quite likely correct about advances yet to come. I know when I was in my early 20s I could occasionally go a day or two without shaving without any real problems, and this was when I was required to be clean-shaven full-time). It wasn't until my late 20's/early 30's that I absolutely had to shave every day, and by my late 30's I occasionally thought I might have to shave more than once a day to keep from showing the serious "5 o'clock shadow". Couldn't grow a decent mustache until at least the late 20's either.
As fas as the pic, it's a nice look, if shoulder length is your goal. Who's the guy?
I have the same problem, and am also 25 lol. I too want a killer beard haha.

Hahaha sucks doesn't it. At least you got kick ass hair.
Ahh, thought it looked like him, but wasn't positive.
Phew!! That sounds promising consider your kick ass facial hair you got now. Yeah i guess I'll work on my hair for now and let my facial hair follow in good time. Is it true constant shaving helps or just let it do what it wants it'll thicken in time.
The pic is Sirius Black. A wizard in harry potter. But I'd want longer hair then that i just love his look
From what I've seen/read, it's purely a question of genetics and time. If constant shaving were a help, my sideburn area would be just as thick as the hair on my chin. Thanks for the compliment, by the way.
I've had to shave since I've been 13 but it was only around when I turned 30 as well that I could grow a "respectable" beard. I grow mine out now (I'm 45) to about the size you could hide a small badger in every winter although as spring comes along I trim it back and then take it off around my birthday.

All of us are so different. Some end up with more facial hair than other. (Most likely genetics.) But don't give-up quite yet. For some guys 25 is still young while for others they have all the facial hair ever wanted by age 16. The next 5 years could very well surprise you greatly!
Take care-

age 24.......plus add a few zeros! :-0 LOL
Don't be too hasty, I couldn't grow a beard until mid 30's, its one of life's great wonders - enjoy your younger years, the beard can wait.

Not so. You may still have beard potential as the others have said. My beard's better than it ever was when I was 25, now at 35.
The downside, for me, I'm getting hairier in other places I'd rather not, the back, shoulders, etc. HAHA! Have to take the good with the bad I suppose.

Dear fellow Celt,
You do not need the beard. The moustache will do.

Thanks all for your support. Its great to hear everyone with cool beards on here kinda didn't really get to full potential till later in life. I guess i will just enjoy my youth and the werewolf look will come in time :P
Hi there,
I think a beard is a great complement to a glorious mane (well, I think a beard is a great complement to a man's face in general); not all of us are gifted with the genes for the perfect beard, but it's our own, it's unique and we must live with it.
I can't grow a full beard at 31, my cheeks are smooth and my sideburns don't connect with the goatee, and the stache is the sparsest I've ever seen. However I'm bearded at heart, so I grow what I have and I'm happy with it.
Try to grow your beard, and see what goes on; you might like the result!
You know what i think i just might, not sure if my fiance will be happy with my face covered in what looks like the fluff off a cats ass. But i give it a pop.
