One of my favourite sports....Rugby. I've play a bit myself. My favourite player is Sebastian Chabal. I've posted a pic before he decided to go long hair and after. I think we can all see it was a very good choice to become a longhair.
I have always found it most interesting the power long hair, or long hair with a beard has..............that being that the person becomes not the type of person others would tend to want to mess with.
Perhaps others have noticed this as well?
Hey Justin, I agree with you completely !!! I still may not be a longhair, but the longer the hair grows, the more confident I feel. There something magical and powerfull that long hair has and I'm really proud that I've decided to grow it long(even tho it's looking quite awkward right now) !
Cheers !

Hey Luben-
Now THAT'S the word I was looking for: "Confident!" For whatever reason, long hair DOES give many a guy this that otherwise he wouldn't have had. And, to the rest of the world (throught their eyes) the person is suddenly a "hands-off" target. The long hair gives an image of "I am my own person and in control of my life." (Nothing wrong with this.) "If" there is a bully in the crowd, rest assured that the longhair will not be a target to mess-around with. Hardly. The "image" is one of great strength. In turn (provided the longhair is not a troublemaker to begin with) there is a certain wall up around him. A wall of respect. I myself am just about ALWAYS addressed as "sir" and treated most courteous.
Justin~
That is an interesting observation. I whole-heartedly agree. Long hair doesn't just give a guy a more confident look; it really does give him more confidence as well. Confidence to assert one's own opinion, confidence to express one's beliefs and confidence to appear as one desires to appear. It takes a lot of perseverence and character strength to grow one's hair out to substantial length. Peer pressure and bad hair days a like are just two of the influences long hairs have to overcome on an almost day-to-day basis in order to reach their goals. It's no wonder, then, that when they reach their goal some 2-3 years later, they're that much stronger as a person because of their journey. Cool thoughts!
Well said Justin!!!
I wholeheartedly agree about the points made regarding confidence and the inherent power of being a longhaired and/or bearded man. I think it's also important to realize the obvious biological/evolutionary component at work here, too. Quite simply, long hair and beards are the physical markers of mature human males... more hair tends to signify more testosterone... more testosterone tends to result in more dominant/less subservient behavior... and other males are biochemically hard-wired to recognize this and either exhibit a prudent measure of respect, or simply BACK THE &!%# OFF!
