hello all, i'm really interested in keeping long hair. the longest that i've reached was just my bangs which i'd keep till it reached mouth level. then i had to cut it because i was going for an interview. but now, i felt that i wanna have them back, but even longer, but the problem is, sometimes, when i was surfing on the net to take a look at long hair (as long hair's my passion), i felt that i wanna have long hair, but when i was with guys that have the common short hair, i felt that i wanna them too (as sometimes i thought that their hair are quite stylish). when i had that long bangs, i just comb them to the back so that my long bangs won't be noticed. so now i'm quite confused of what to decide. long hair or short hair? thank you very much.
p/s: here in college, male students can't have long hair.
Hello,
I suppose if you are a college student, and males at your college are not allowed to have long hair, then you will have to decide to either cut your hair to remain a student there, or grow it long and attend a college that allows long hair on males. As far as having long hair goes, however, it sounds like you haven't really even decided if it's what you truly want. If you do decide to grow your hair long, I assure you that the MLHH community will support and encourage you every step of the way.

He hit it right on the head. You seem by your speech that you want to fit in. Hard to do when everything changes as you walk down the street. Look inside and find out what YOU want. Then do it.
You say long hair is your passion. If that is so, then you need to follow your passion, not just vicariously dream about it.
Young people don't stay young forever. Old age creeps up on you. Before you know it, you'll wake up and look in the mirror and notice a receding hair line (like I have, or worse), --- or at least some hair thinning, greying, or bald spots... Not that you "can't" grow your hair out when your older; but, to wake up someday and regret that you didn't grow it out when you were young and had a full and volumous head of hair is not an easy reality to have to face.
Take it from me. I didn't have my first full ponytail until my 40th birthday. Do you really want to take THAT long to have to make up your mind to finally grow it out? The time to start growing is NOW. You'll never regret it if you do, --- and you'll be the envy of all your short-haired friends, be admired for standing out in a crowd, for being unique and different... So, what's the delay all about?
What I've just said above should end any confusion on the topic. If you've always wanted long hair, all it takes is the comitment to quit cutting it!
