How's this for a mixed message? Ran out of my shampoo and conditioner, so went to the store to get some, and decided to try something new. Picked up one of the Herbal Essence versions (figured I'd give it a try and see how it does).
After I bought it I found an extra label on one of the bottles, with a special offer:
Buy 2 of their products and get a free haircut. And this was on their version formulated for long hair.
And most Americans will think it's a good idea.
The trimmers will be thrilled.
Now in my case, I don't have a problem with the occasional trim under one or more of the following conditions:
1) You've reached your goal length and are trimming to maintain that length.
2) You've got a significant problem with damaged ends.
3) It simply makes you (the owner of the hair) feel better about your hair.
On the other hand, doing the occasional trim and then fussing about a lack of progress in gaining length is somewhat of a contradiction in terms of its own.
I have to agree with you last point and some of them are feeble. Mind you can always loose a couple of inches for the ladies..rofl!
Cheers,

Yes. Reminds me of the time that I entered a long hair contest
at our county fair just for the fun of it. I won in the men's
division. The winners in the other divisions all got nice
useful prizes like a dinner for two at such and such restaurant
or a set of bar-b-cue tools and I got a nice purple ribbon and .. you guessed it .. a free haircut at a local barber shop.
Needless to say the barber didn't have to make good on that
prize!
Hahahahah too funny!
