Anybody know of any good long hair straightener products?
I have tried Kerastase, which is awesome, but insanely expensive! Thanks.
********
I used to use one of those hot ceramic straightners but stopped because it makes my ends even dryer than they already are
I recently had my hair chemically defrizzed. What a mistake. My hair still reeks from the process.
Curly hair isn't bad. It's rare to see curly long haired people. Why not keep it?
I agree with both of these guys. There's no reason to straighten.
surely him wanting his hair to be straight is a good enough reason?
what's the point in going to all the effort of growing your hair for a year if you don't like what it looks like when u get there?
Because it's a matter of accepting yourself for who you are, rather than trying to change everything. It's this same ridiculous mentality that has screwed up American culture:
Girls who want to be skinny enough that their ribs are showing, bleaching their hair, tanning to achieve a disgusting orange glow, etc.
Many people would rather change superficial aspects of themselves because they lack confidence. So instead of wanting to change everything, why not just accept yourself and be confident? This is the same reason people are anorexic, because they want to be just like the models that weigh 2lbs and want to fit into a size 000000 pair of pants.
On top of that, natural genetics would surely look better on a person than some kind of superficial change, and also it damages hair and it's a lot of unnecessary upkeep.
ok so stop trimming/shaving your beard, stop wearing deodorant, stop wearing aftershave, stop gettin tattoos, piercings etc, stop wearing clothes - they're not natural.
I don't do any of those things, except wearing clothes because it's mandated by society.
damn u win then! i was just making the point that it's his personal choice, and it's no more unnatural than any of these things
Gravity makes curley hair into slightly wavey easy to control hair.
Time, added length, and gravity are best IMO.
Just keep it growing... try and stay away from chemicals and hair straighteners because they damage the hair excessively...
The longer your hair gets, the straighter it will get as it gets heavier and gravity pulls it down.
Thank you for your input!
I was just looking for something to use once in a while to straighten for a different look. I like to switch it up a little. I'm not trying to keep the curls away forever.
