Hi all,
I haven't posted pics in a long time, but I do read the board regularly. I was watching some old pictures and I noticed that my hair isn't growing all that fast. Well, I did have 2 or 3 maintainance trims since that june of 2007. Your thoughts?

More than likely your hair is still growing at the same rate. The maintenance trims are the culprit if you want more length faster then don't trim. That simple.
Mr B over to you......(grin)

Hi,
Sorry, I don't remember of you... But welcome back among the posters :)
Nice hair (blond straight hair is perfect for metalheads like you :D), but I agree with Kevin, maybe the trims are too much...

Most probably it is the trims that account for you thinking that your hair may be growing so slowly. Why not give-up trims for 2 years and then see how your hair does.
Best of luck to you.
As the others have said, don't trim and let nature do her thing. And as Vivien said you have the perfect look there, excellent.
Cheers Dave

Your hair looks great in the photo on the right. If you want maximum length in minimum time you will need to ditch the trims. Your hair likely grows about 15 centimeters per year. Do the math here. If you are getting 4cm trimmed off twice a year, you will only gain 7cm per year.

Greetings Galdor, you hair looks very good! Great look you have going there. Keep up the good work...the long hair suits you very well.

Hi Galdor,
Great to see you posting again and it certainly has been a while and thanks for posting an picture update. You hair is certinly in great condition and I would just let it grow. As some of the others have commented, I'd reduce on the maintenance trims and the longer it will get.
Oh BTW great choice in band t-shirt there.
Cheers,
John.B
Your hair looks great. Each person's hair grows at a different rate, some are lucky and have really fast growing hair, and others have slower growing hair. A half inch a month is the average rate. Looking at your hair growth I wouldn't think that it seems like it's growing all that slow. The maintenance trims do look like they are keeping your ends really nice looking, even though they do slow down growth. Once a year seems to be about the right rate of trims for maintenance.
Nice, great condition after 2 years. Is that a symphony x shirt, by any chance?
Yes, it's a Symphony X shirt. I love that band!
Hi Galdor,
Thank you for sharing your update with us, and your hair is in excellent condition, and no further trims are necesasry at all. You should be able to grow it a lot longer if you wish to do so.
Keep it grwoing,
David
Impressive !
Not only has your hair grown to a very healthy, nice length, but in two years you have matured to a very handsome adult.
Looking good, my friend.
Thanks for Sharing
Walter
Hi there,
I, too, just have to say I so much agree with Walter.
The two photos together show a much more settled person, and one very comfortable with himself, all signs of an adult long haired guy. There is quite a difference, but you now look "at ease" with yourself, and it looks great.
Thanks for showing the photos,
-Daniel
Hello there in Belgium,
It looks great !! Also like your beard. Keep it growing or as we say in dutch/flamish, laat maar groeien

Hi GALDOR,
Not much more I can add that already has been said other than your hair looks in fantastic condition and I urge you to continue growing it minus the maintainance trims. That's certainly the quickest way to get length fast if that is your goal. You certainly look great as a longhair my friend:)Cheers

Looks awesome man! Dig the Symphony X shirt as well. I'd agree that the trims are to blame, if you stop trimming you'll definately see results. I havn't trimmed in over a year and my hair grew nearly 10 inches in that time. As long as you keep up on individual split ends and take REALLY good care of it.
Keep up the growing man, your fine straight hair would look KILLER when it's twice that length.

I do remember you from the last time you posted.
Your hair has grown a lot since then and I really like the change!
I think your hair looks hands-down TERRIFIC!
It's true that maintenance trims make hair growth take longer; but, in my opinion, sometimes it's a necessary "evil" (LOL).... If it makes your hair look & feel better (especially if the trims remove split ends), then I say that there's no reason to worry!
