Ok, I know some of you longhairs are gamers.
I need your feedback as to which system I should go with.
Just to let you know what I'm interested in:
80s retro type games, mario, donkey, pac man, atari, cards, casino, puzzle, shooter)
From the reviews I read, it seems that, as far as battery life goes, DS is better, whereas because PSP has so much stuff in it, it burns it pretty quick.
Either way, I see myself as a casual gamer, as opposed to hardcore. At this point anyway.
Although I'd watch Morgan Webb and Olivia Munn 24/7 without issues :)
As of now, I'm leaning towards DS, and I figure if there are games I like that aren't on DS, maybe they're available in PC format )
Haha, agreed. I think the DS is a more fun, pick up and play type system, whereas the PSP is like a portable home console. I'd say go with the DS, but I prefer the simple fun games in my handhelds and the enthralling long games on my home consoles. The DS is also less expensive and has cheaper games.
Our kids have the DS Lite. I think the real reason is that they worked their way to it via all its predecessors, i.e. Game Boy, Game Boy Colour and Game Boy Advanced. It seems a nice unit, but I know very little about the PSP.
I'd say DS, since Nintendo has been aiming for casual gamers as of the recent console generation (Wii and DS). Unless you really want to watch movies or browse the internet using your console, I'd say go for DS :)
