Damn if I don't look like a "hippie" although I flunked the test!
This is at 40 months, have had two small trims in the last year, probably another soon; still have about 2" of layers to get rid of.
Hi George,
It is great to see you posting an update again, and your hair is coming along very well indeed, looks healthy, and in my opinion, it also appears thicker at the ends than in previous updates. I am not sure of your final goal, if you have one, but waist length should not be any problem if you elect to grow it that long.
Speaking of the "hippie thread", although I didn't post in that thread, I definitely failed it too, with a score less than 10!
Take care,
David
Thanks, David; not sure of the final goal yet, just letting it grow, and a small trim or so to even and thicken the ends.
I scored a 6.
Thanks for the support.
Great look you have there George, you look so much more unique these days with the longer hair and beard. Congratulations.
~ Dave
Thanks Dave; I like "unique" compared to some of the things I have been called in my past!
Hey George, great update...you hair is looking to be in great condition. Well done! Keep at it...
Cheers,
Max
Thanks Max; I think we are moving at pretty much the same pace. I appreciate the comments.
You're welcome George, yeah, I do believe we are at the same pace...glad to be in your company!!! Cheers and keep it growing!
Cheers,
Max
The hippie look is you!
Great, awesome progress George. Your hair's thickness combined with eliminating the layers has created a fantastic look.
Thanks Jason; I appreciate all the positive comments and support on my journey here!
What a great look George!
Really coming along nicely.
Bravo!
- Oren
Thanks Oren; it's good to see you posting again here. I appreciate the comments.
Cool. You got good looking hair. Is the lighter-colored streaks in your hair natural or part of hair coloration? By the way, I took the same test, and fell short of being a "hippie", but it does not matter.
Matthew
Those streaks are my natural "racing strips"; I have never colored my hair.
I appreciate your comments. Thanks.
...Indeed !!
Been a while since we have seen you, but well worth the wait....you look fantastic....cool "highlights", great length, updated facial hair.....and it sure looks like you have shed some pounds..
Lookin' good, my friend
Thanks for Sharing
Walter
Thanks Walter for the comments.
And yes, I have so far dropped about 25 pounds; still have a way to go, but I am finally on the right track!

Your hair looks superb, George. Whatever you are doing is working well for you. Just keep on cruising along down the road to longer hair, it will get even better with more length.
I would say, you are definitely not a hippie. The percentage of longhairs that are also hippies has greatly declined since the 60s.
Scott
Thanks for the support Scott; hippie is one thing I have never claimed to be! I think it confuses people even more when they find out I am a conservative Republican; they don't know what to think!
Hey Hippie,
Your hair really is looking great. Your lucky it is so straight and it looks so manageable too. Congrats on the weightloss too. I just seems to keep gaining it.
MB
Thanks Matt; the weight thing is coming along slowly but surely. As is the hair!
Hey George,
Your hair looks excellent as you have to be really pleased. All the angles you photographed look flawless.Just be careful with those trims as it would be a shame if the stylist goofed and over did it but I imagine you are seeing someone who you trust. Thanks for your update my friend and Happy Easter!Cheers
Mark
Thanks Mark, and to answer your question, I trust the stylist completely! I am self trimming using the Feyes method.
And yea, I am pretty happy about the progress. If it was just twice as thick and slightly wavy . . . . . .
Well that's the main concern about trusting someone who is cutting your hair.BTW what is the Feyes method as I've never heard of that before?
Mark
Here is a link which should answer your questions.

Thanks John, and I sure plan to!
Hi George, Great update and where does the time go. Mane looks awesome and I hope things are going well for you and your family these days.
Take Care
Kevin
Hi Kevin; thanks for the comments. Time is flying by faster and faster; I just try to keep up.
