Can I get fired if I let my hair grow longer again? 2 years ago I was working in a warehouse and had hair down to my shoulders, plus I am a musician and love longer hair.I look stupid in short hair and now I am doing Data Entry in a sales office. I want to grow it long again but am afraid I may get fired.I always keep it neat and it doesn't affect my work performance.
According to alot of different things whether or not you can get fired. State laws, company policies, etc, etc
Bottom line is if you grow it out and they say something how far are you willing to go to have longer hair? I always say that the length of my hair has nothing to do with my abilities to perform my job.

Eric, I've had warehouse and assembly type jobs and there were many guys with longer then shoulder length, however I never saw any men with longer then collar length who worked in the front offices.
while I am basing this on my own work experiences, there may be many places where many front office people have longer hair.
many IT people have long hair, but it depends on the company that they work for too.
it depends on the place. have you ever seen any other guys working in your hair with long hair?
you've got to decide what is right for you.
keep your hair and take another type of job, or cut it off and take the data entry job, but I would do some research first before making any decisions on this. ask around. talk to some of the women and get their opinions about policy and so forth.
