Hi guys, I thought it would be fun to do a poll to see how long everyone's hair is. The Long Hair Community Board does this periodically. I thought it would be cool to do it here too.

My bangs are shoulder lenght but the lowest layers reach my mid back. I haven't cut my hair since growing it out. The highest layers blend in with the lowest ones making my hair look like mid-back.

If I reach behind and pull it straight that is (the waves make it fall a couple inches above that. That's just the very tip of the "V" too. The bulk of my hair falls between mid-back and shoulder blade length.

My hair varies a lot in length, depending on the humidity, and on humid days, it is a little bit short of mid back length, and on dry, "straighter hair days", it is a bit below mid back length. (so the AVERAGE is mid back) Another issue is that I have a long neck, and that means it takes a greater length of hair for me to achieve mid back length or longer, compared to other guys, with shorter necks, where the same length of hair would be farther down their backs

Just out of curiosity, just what is the difference between low back length and waist length? I always concidered the two to be the same, but seeing it here like this I assume low back must be between mid back and waist. Please enlighten me. My hair actually will pull down to about 3 inches below the bottom of my shoulder blades, yet still way above my waist line. So I guess for the purposes of this poll it's somewhere in the mid-low back range.

Hi Daniel, I consider low back length to be maybe 2/3 of the way from your shoulders to your beltline. Waist length is where your hair reaches as low as your navel, which is maybe at the 85% mark.

With my hair in a segmented tail like yours, and my head level, it just touches the back of my belt.

This is probably where I'll remain. I would like to keep growing longer, but my wife would like it shorter.

My wife too would like shorter hair on me, she said mid back was enough and that longer hair was "too much"; eventually I grew it to classic and she said nothing, just frowning sometimes and saying that I ignore her - but kidding.
However, I wear my hair in a bun most of the time, so mid back or floor length isn't so different; people usually don't realize my hair is so long until I let it down.

Hi Bruce, it would be nice to be able to grow it longer, but keeping the peace with your spouse is most important of all. I will probably never understand why a great many women dislike long hair on men. Long hair is just as natural for a man as for a woman. Thanks for your input.

I have checked two boxes because it is almost to my shoulders but not quite. Definitely collar length.
I just measured and my hair is a good 5" and almost 6. This is remarkable because it hasn't even been a year since my last haircut. I have been taking a vitamin a day and I believe this is the only way to achieve improved growth. I don't even know how long it's been, I think it will be a year since my last haircut in September or October. The longest I've ever had my hair was well past my shoulders from August 2002 to March 2005. I have only recently gotten serious about growing it out again. Wish me luck and not to be so foolish. Only collar length cause theres nothing inbetween that and shoulders. It went past my collar last september and went below the bottom of the collar in December.
It's about as long as it was when I cut it now (longer at the front, It reaches to my chin when pulled, but it was thinned out so badly I don't like doing that.

My length is the same as for the last 11 years - APL (longer than shoulders, not quite mid back). This for me is terminal; in June it will be 15 years since my last trim. Thanks for the poll. I am still a long way off from my final goal of low-back length, but things are coming along smoothly. I like taking the Biotin supplement, and it does seem to be good for my general health, but I can't really claim to be growing "faster"
