Hard to believe that two years ago I was just beginning to wonder what I would look like with long hair. Ive always had really short hair until that point and it never got past the top part of my ears. Of course, several times in the growth journey Ive chopped it off and started over and gotten unnecessary trims because I was too afraid of split ends/dead ends/stuff like that.
For prom my mom was nice enough to straighten my hair and this is what it looks like! I have more pictures but Im pretty sure my date wouldnt be too happy with pics of her floating on random websites, permission or not.
Regardless of what has happened in the past, your long hair is looking great. Congratulations! You are blessed with fabulous long hair........no question about that one.

Hi Dio,
Hey man your hair looks cool straightened but I wouldn't do that on a regular basis for obvious reasons. For the occasion though I'm sure it was fun to do:)Even though you had several attempts at growing your hair out the most important thing is that you are now sticking with it.Don't get too caught up in that split end thing as early on its hard to think you would have that problem anyway.Keep up the great work and I'll look forward to future updates my friend:)Cheers
Mark
Hey Dio, very nice update...you are showing some good length now...congrats on your 2 years!

Haven't been here for a while and just saw this. Very nice!
Was the straightening a permanent job? It'll be interesting to see how it grows out. I wonder if the weight of the hair you have now will help keep it that way. (Or does it work like that?)

Hi Dio,
Thanks for the update and your hair is looking great and is coming along well. Keep it growing.
Cheers,

Congrats on reaching 2 years DiO!
Great looking update, and good length in spite of the trims and setbacks.
I hope you've had a great time at the prom by the time read this.
Thanks for sharing,
- Oren
Looking very impressive! Congratulations!

Your hair looks great, Dio. Hopefully straightening it is not causing damage. (In that photo your hair appears to be in good condition.) A good way to determine if there is damage is to run your fingers over the ends of your hair. A rough feeling ususally means damage is present.

Hi Dio,
Thank you for sharing your update with us, and you have come a long ways in only 2 years. Your hair appears to be in excellent condition, and has great thickness. As far as straightening goes, I suggest you use it with discretion, if at all. I caused considerable damage to mine in the earlier stages of growing mine due to too much use of straightening irons.
Keep it growing,
David
Ah yes, Jr. Prom! Hope you had a nice time. Brings back memories for sure.
Your hair is coming along well, and an occasional straightening should be just fine.
Maybe you could photoshop you date out of the pictures and post on of you all decked out for prom.

Hey DiO !!
Glad to see that 24 months of driving in Las Vegas did not cause you to pull any of those great looking locks out !!
Looking good and I suspect the straightening will last a while in the low humidity.
I assume you had a great prom !!
Thanks for Sharing

It's good you stuck it out. I can see from your pic that it was worth the wait.
Quite a difference between your avatar pic and this one. Your hair looks great straightened. Keep it growing! -
