Hi Mark, I am good with tha math and can help you with this.
Height is just part of determining how long it will take to reach your goal. Body proportions also play a role. Waist length is about 33% of your height from the low ponytail tie point if you have average proportions. For me, it is only about 30%. I have the limbs of a six foot tall man but the torso of a 5'6" man. Your waist is at belly button level, not your beltline, as many think.
Could what you call low back be waist length? That would be a 24" ponytail, if you are of average proportions.
A photo of you from the back, similar to the one I included, will make it easier to predict how long it will take to reach your goal. It should be taken from about 20 feet back to eliminate curvature distortions caused by today's modern camera lenses. This provides a flat field image. (The image of myself was done from about 20 feet back.)
I will scale your image in a computer drawing program. I will mark 3" increments on that image, one for each half year of growth. I will then post that image, for you to see, showing you about where your hair will be in the future.

Hi Scott,
Interesting stuff and perhaps you should become our resident "Doctor of Hair" as you've certainly made a great a study of this and alot of important facts there.
Keep up the good work.
Cheers,

awesome Scott ill take a picture later today and post it up tonight or tommorow morning :) looking forward to the scale done !
Hi Mark,
What can I say as Scott is an expert at this hair measuring thing.Your hair looks great and you will love it at the waist I would predict.Good luck and keep us up to date on your progress my friend.Cheers
Mark
Hey Mark, hope you are doing well. Take Scott's advice, he is my science and statistical hero. He will tell you exactly what you need to know for certain. Personally, it took me 36 months to reach mid-back, but then I have a short neck and torso...
Let us know what happens.
Cheers,
Max
