Some of you might remember I had a thread asking for advice on growing a beard awhile back..well I'm finished school next week so I started growing out a week and abit ago and it's coming in way thicker than the last time I grew it :D
What is strange is alot of the hairs are ginger? The hairs have always been a mixture of brown, blonde and black (my hair is brown), but now I have foxy ones too xD
Just thought I'd update ye on that, it's not a full beard yet by any stretch of the imagination but it's thicker than it was last summer
I will probably be told to cut it by the principal before we're finished but ah well
Peace and love from Ireland!
Sounds great you should post an update.
Cheers,
John.B
It's not unusual at all to have a different mix of hair colour in your beard. I'm roughly half Irish and my beard while mostly dark brown has red, blonde, black, and now (quite a bit) of grey. I even know of people whose beards are a completely different colour than their head hair.

im Scottish and my hair on my head is dark brown with natural red tint through it, and my beard grows red/ginger/dark brown mixed its a Celtic trait :)
I'm still waiting for my beard ! I've got a nice goatee, and I can grow a decent mustache , but my cheeks are absolutely bald and I'm 20. As my father and my grandfathers can grow a beard, I don't lose hope :)
Anyway, my hair is dark blond, and like you, my facial hair is... red !

Same here, I'm 23 and right now the cheeks are starting to develop.
But only on one side so I still can't let them grow.
Guess it takes patience before I will have a full beard like my father.
Mine was patchy until I was about 30 and then I was finally able to grow a "beard you could lose a badger in" to quote Captain Redbeard Rum (BlackAdder)
It was very odd the way it developed too - first I got sideburns that then joined via my neck. I went through the end of high-school with a pair of muttonchops that would have made anyone in the 1800s proud.

Cillian,
Sounds like the start of a beard adventure!
I have seen a varying mix of many colors and hair types in my beard.
Facial hair can go through a lot of changes during your 20's and even into your 30's and beyond. The mustache usually takes the longest to develop.
