It's crappy looking, i think. I want to cutt off the parts in the back that fly up. But will this solve the problem or make it worse?
I should probably say that I want to grow my hair out another 4 inchs+
looks fantastic... would look even better longer than 4 more inches... love the dark color and very shiny and healthy looking!!!
I think it looks great...how long did it take you to get it that long and how long was it when you started?
I started growing it about a year ago and it was like 3 inchs on the top and short on the sides. I wanted long hair like a grunge rocker, but not so dirty looking :)
I think you're being a bit self-conscious, your hair looks great, just be patient, by summer it should be where you want it. The natural waves look just fine, and your color is great. Don't trim anything. Tom

Just wondering, how do you get your hair so shiny? Can you post a summary of how you care for your hair (type of products, when you use them)on a day by day basis in a typical week?

Hmm, I shampoo and condition every other day and let my hair air dry. I hate the blow dryer so i never use that. I use normal Tres sommes(sp) shampoo and Suave Conditioner. I always get people saying how shiney and healthy it is. But i donno what I do to make it so shiney. If anything I kind of want to throw some dirt in there to make it less shiney. But oh well, i'm crazy like that :)
Hey man, your hair looks cool, don't cut it. Yeah, if you cut the part that you said flips it will just flip more. The longer the hair is the more it is weighed down and the straighter it gets. When I started growing my hair long I thought I didn't have the right kind of hair to grow long because it flipped so badly. But now it is so much straighter and there's only some soft waves now, I like it a lot. Just keep growing, another 4 inches will look great. And it's nice and shiny and healthy looking. I used to be so self-conscious of my hair, if I saw you I would probably be jealous.
Cutting off the flips may solve the problem for now, but they will only come back when you get to the point of growth you are at now. Just deal with it for another 6-8 months (if you plan to grow your hair long), and the flips should take care of themselves.
