hey so i have read a bunch about jojoba oil on this site, but when you are putting it in your hair, does your hair need to be wet or dry or what?
thanks

Greetings longhairrocks. I use jojoba oil and usually apply it to the ends of my hair hair when it is dry or no more than slightly damp. It is really good for your hair and I recommend it.

...and a little goes a long way...
I usually use it just on the end. Put your hair in a tail and just work in a "pinch" (fingertips dipped in oil) on the hair ends. Really help the frizzies.
Too much will make your hair look and feel greasy though.

I use assorted kinds of oils all over the length of my hair, both wet and dry. Some use them all over on damp or dry hair before a wash to keep it from stripping over much. I use them after to hold moisture in. :D I apply them all over the length of my hair, but some do it on the ends. A little can go a long way, unless you have hair like mine, in which case a lot goes a long way. xD
Trial and error is best. Starting small is often the best choice. Also, I use olive, coconut, castor, jojoba, shea butter, and safflower oil, with the first two being my favorite. I use olive mostly pre-wash on damp hair, and coconut on damp hair after washing most of the time. Sometimes I use either on dry hair, but my hair is super curly and doesn't look greasy after.
I like jojoba oil so much that I've more or less abandoned using other products such as gel, mouse or pomade.
I have issues with frizzies and the oil really helps control them. As others have said, a little goes a long way. For me, applying it to damp hair works better--I use less of it and get a controlled, non-greasy result more consistently than when I applied it dry.

I usually use jojoba oil. I'll wash my hair in the morning and add the oil when it's dry. I've tried using coconut oil, but I find that often leaves my hair very sticky, but I've recently started using a little coconut oil on the very ends and using jojoba oil on the rest.
So far it seems to be working well for me. I've got quite fine hair and it's prone to breaking, but since I started the combination treatment, I've had very little breakage, which gives the impression that it's growing faster.
