Hello! I've been growing my hair for 13 years, and I never once until recently thought to look for a community online for long haired men (despite being a message board junkie). So, I figured I'd introduce myself.
I always wanted to have long hair, but was always afraid to do it. I finally started growing my hair long during the final months of high school in 1996. I had it trimmed maybe two or three times, until 2003 when on a whim I decided to go short again. I had a pony tail down to my lower-mid back, and I had it chopped off. BIG MISTAKE! I hated having short hair again! So, I promptly started growing it out again. I've only had it trimmed once last year, from my lower shoulderblades to the top of my shoulders. Thats going to be my last cut though.
I wear my hair in a tight ponytail 98% of the time, and smoothed back. I am actually quite anal about keeping my hair as close to perfectly smoothed back as I can. I've been thinking of ways I could change up my look some, so I'm going to try tying it lower and looser. I'll try to dig up some pictures later and post them.
Sorry for the long rambling intro! I look forward to spending some more time around the board!

Welcome to MLHH. It is great to have you here. There is a bunch of great guys here (and gals too) that will help you out with any questions that you have. Some of us have been at it longer than others, while others have been more destructive to their hair (that would be me)and are now trying to fix the damage. There is a wealth of support, experience and advise from the membership here.
