Watching a documentary about the 60's with a friend who commented the Beatles were the ones who got the longhair thing going. I wasn't sure about that but did note the mid 60's on you did see more of it.
Anyway the question is........
If you had to pick your favorite Beatle who would it be?
[] John
[] George
[] Ringo
[] Paul
John Lennon by far.
To me, he was a better voice and song writing ability than Paul. I highly enjoyed his solo work too, and respected his views.

Hey Prez,
[x] John
I watched a documentary a few weeks ago about John Lennon. According to it he got the longhair idea from other young people who "wore their hair combed forward like Caesar". Sorta like the a lot of kids are doing now.
Did anyone else watch this?
Paul
George Harrison was def the best imo I got his best of cd and its kickass

Hi Kevin, in my opinion, George Harrison was the best looking and had the best hair. His hair and beard look fantastic in this photo.
Scott
the Beatles probably did set the stage for longhairs of the future but for longevity I'd have to say Steve Tyler of Aerosmith is a true longhair survivor as this guy still looks great! Not too many rock stars that have kept their hair for so many years let alone decades. Here's a pic I found of them. What an inspiration.
Mark
Steve Tyler is cool!
Goldy McJohn, keyboardist and founding member of Steppenwolf, still sports his waist length blond/silver locks and a beard.
I've met Goldy personally while in Seattle. He lives in Seattle, WA and can be found at local events, tearing it up on the Hammond organ with his current group "Goldy McJohn and Friends".

For basically the same reasons as Scott.

To me John's music was much funner to listen to. I love beatles in general, though.
enough said, and checkout the hair!

Also Sir James Paul McCartney - as Paul McCartney and Wings. Being into synthesizers and electronic music, I admire the early synthesizer and electronic effects Paul brought into the Beatles sound.
Very hard to single any one of the Beatles as a "favorite" - The Fab 4 together is greater that the sum of all parts :)

Hey Kevin, based on hair I would have to agree with Scott. George, I think he had the best longhair. Plus I would have to agree with Oren regarding Paul McCartney (and Wings) with his innovative synth style at the time. Overall though I have to say George for the hair!
Cheers,
Max
I'd say George is the nearest, but I don't like any of them anyway..rofl!
Cheers,

George Harrison is my favourite Beatle. Not only did he have the best hair he was also the most spiritual of the Beatles.
Duncan
I myself have never been into the Beatles but I always thought
highly of George.
At work this was going around and Paul edged out John by a hair.
No pun intended......well ok maybe a little.
Surprisingly or maybe not surprisingly Ringo didn't get one vote.

To this point you have:
[3] John
[9] George
[0] Ringo
[4] Paul
I am going to watch this poll as it plays out. So far, George is way out in front. He certainly had the best and longest mane of all.
Great poll, Kevin, Bravo.
Scott
One of my favorite singers of all time! It was tough between John and George, George is one of my favorite guitar players.
-Phil
Definetly Ringo. Seemed like the one with the most charactor for me, and he did the voice of my childhood show. Thomas the tank engine. Toot Toot :D
However I think Robert Plant is my inspiration for an older guy with exceptional hair.

It was tough between John, Paul and George, but I finally decided based on the hair. Also, I think a lot of his work in the mid to late '70s was underrated.
