I'm wondering if there are any long-haired men with bangs(fringe) over their forehead, like this: http://www.accidentalsexiness.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/12/zooeypic2.jpg
And what do you think about it?
Also should a guy with curly (wavy) hair comb his hair? It's hard to get the comb through and it leaves my hair frizzy (goes back to normal over night, tough), so it kind of kills the point of combing the hair.
Last question, any good tips on what hairstyle to use other than loose and ponytail? I was thinking about putting it in a ponytail but tieing(sp?) it higher than normal so it looks slick and also leaving out part of the hair over the ears.
I had bangs last time around, but they were long and swept to one side. If they're too short or cut straight across, you could end up looking like a poodle. Curly bangs might exacerbate the poodle effect.
Well, firstly, I love Zooey and think she is quite nice to look upon and the characters she plays are very interesting. Whether there are many guys who would wear that style? I'd think not. Bangs are more girly-looking, IMO, though a number of rock stars and the like (think 'Jonas Brothers' who style their hair quite a bit (curlyheads using straight irons and the like) can be seen with similarly layered looks. It is one of the ways we can finally get past the akward stage: getting our bang hair into our low pony-tail... bangs just prevent this. If you find something that works, please share it.
With curls, leave the combing to the shower, with lots of conditioner and, maybe, just after you get out of shower. Go gently, though, and use a wide-toothed comb such as a pic or detangling comb. (Not a bad idea to add a bit more conditioner as a leave-in at this point, too.) Leave it to air dry. If you afraid of it losing style or poofing out as it dries, there aer a number of products to choose from. Mousse and gel are both options, you'll have to experiment to see what combination of products works best for you. Good luck!
I've seen a variety of styles, but, for guys, the most popular seem to be tail or down. Some use braids, some use the half-tail (gathering hair from the front and sides into a high tail, but leaving the back to flow free), You could also go for a bun, or a most interesting bun-half-tail mix I saw on a buddha statue (picture attached).
Best of luck.

I thought bangs would look even more feminine than long hair alone but it doesn't seem so, here's a pic of Bruce Dickinson

I guess it depends on what kind of hair and face you have, but the downside is that you can't put it in a ponytail.
Well, you can't put it *all* in a ponytail. But I figure that's OK. I tend to wear bangs--I think they work better with my face, and I like that Rawk Star look--and put the rest in a tail for work.

I'm not sure about that hairstyle, but a lot of guys with long hair, look great with fringe. Mine doesn't look as good parted so I always wear it to the side. My friend has long wavey hair with bangs and it looks good.

Long hair with short bangs was popular in the mid 70s. I remember it well. Here is a rock music video from 1975, a full 7 years before MTV even existed. Some people pull off that look very well. Enjoy.
Use a pick on curly hair. It is least likely to cause damage. Always start at the ends and work your way up. A little bit of jojoba oil may be helpful to reduce friction so the pick will glide through your hair.
What you are describing is a half tail. Jason has some great half tail pics.
