Whoo. I bunned my hair, finally.
Also, it looks like this these days, but this was taken a few months ago. xD It's grown. Curls are slow going.
Your hair is looking great!
How many more years do you want to grow it?
I'm going for length, not time. However long it takes to get to around my tailbone/classic.
Wow ur hair looks great. Amazing bun :) Can u do a ponytail too and how long do u want it to get?
That is an interesting milestone. The kind of buns I wear is a traditional loop with a normal ponytail holder. True, curls slow down the growth of hair, but it makes hair more attractive to look at.

The bun with the hair sticks looks the best to me. You have a lot of hair volume. I can only imagine how huge that bun will be when your hair is over 2 feet long. Also, curly hair does grow as fast as straight hair. Curls hide the length. I am guessing your hair is mid back length. (if gently pulled straight) Do keep growing it for sure.

Thanks, and I'm aware it grows at the same rate as straight hair (forgiving the slight variation between different people), but the curl does make it sllow growing.
If I pull it straight, it reaches just above the middle of my shoulder blades.
Looks great and I congratulate you on your patience growing those spirals.
Your picture reminds me that it's not at all obvious to me how hair sticks actually WORK. Seems like they are holding more than one could ever expect from a stick, if you know what I mean.
Anyway, thanks for posting the pics.

The purpose of hair sticks is to pin your bun to the rest of your hair. From the side of the bun, poke the stick towards your head and make sure you pick up some hair that is right at your head. Then move the stick into position and shove it out the other side of the bun.
It takes practice to know how much hair you need to pick up and the right angle of attack, but you'll get there quickly. It only took me 2 or 3 tries before I ended up with a bun that held with just sticks.
