He had great hair... wow does anyone else agree that nothing really good became of his music after Soundgarden?
He did have great hair.
I agree about his music. I think it often happens that musicians' music starts to suck when they cut their hair.
Do you agree that Metallica is a perfect example of this?

I do. The Black Album with songs like Leper Messiah and now it's like crappy Nu-Metal or something.
C'mon now guys, Metallica still rocks. The only album of their that I'm not fond of is St. Anger. In my opinion, they did a damn good job with Death Magnetic.
Don't get me wrong, Kill 'em all, Puppets, Lightning, they are all fantastic (my 3 favorite.. =]), but they are still good today.
I'd love to see Papa Het and Lars with long hair again though. And Kirk Hammett looked so weird with short hair!.. haha
Oh, and R.I.P. Cliff Burton..

RIP Metalica and long live Megadeth!
You said it brother! Doesn't James looks like a fool with that haircut.
While I might check out a post haircut Metalica song that someone recommends, I will not watch a post haircut Metalica video. Ugh. That was the turning point for me.
And besides everybody knows Dave Mustaine would kick James Hetfield's butt any day! Deal with it Metalica fans!

What is that face furr all about..rofl!
That is so true. Megadeth is better than Metallica as a rule of thumb and they'll be even better with Chris Broderick.
I agree that their music hasn't been as good after they cut.
I've still be able to find something decent in every album since though with the exception of the execrable St. Anger.
Their new bassist Robert Trujillo has absolutely fabulous hair! It's some of the thickest I've seen.
The House Jack Built off of Load had to have been one of their best and heaviest between the s/t and Death Magnetic.
Actually, it looks like he's growing his hair out again. Just google Chris Cornell 2009.
Yes , he did have awesome hair. I think he's still a handsome man, with short hair. After Soundgarden, his participation in Audioslave was great too, but I don't like his solo albums.

It's funny you should mention that. Cornell is one of my influences not only on music but was also an inspiration to grow my hair long. I got into music around the age of 8 or 9 and that was during the grunge years; Badmotorfinger was one of the first CDs I owned and his hair looked AMAZING in the cd jacket.
Regardless I COMPLETELY agree. Audioslave is boring generic crap, and his solo stuff is also quite boring. He never uses his AMAZING "high" falsetta vocals anymore...though that could be due to age or years of smoking.
I sincerely hope there's a SG reunion coming up like it's been rumored.

I think that is sort of a silly argument. Anyway...BadMotorFinger is a classic IMHO and, yes, nothing else by Cornell has compared...Rexall is a cool track, however, and Audioslave is not exactly a shabby band ; )
I'm kinding of digging Cornell's new look but, indeed, he did have some awesome locks back in the early 90s.
I didn't mean the whole "silly argument" thing as a dig at anyone. I just always chuckled when "Metallica got a haircut" was the equivalent of selling out ; )
btw, Mr. Cobain had some awesome length back in the Bleach days. Check it out : )
Yes he has great hair! and I agree short hair wrecked the music LOL here is a color picture of the same one you posted. Hope your good!
