I will try to get an update picture up soon. My hair is around 4 inches long now nearing 5. Its to the point where i realize wow im going to have long hair and its really rewarding. Its to the point where its starting to cover my ears and when I walk I can feel it bouncing off my ears and my neck and when I turn my head my bangs move from side to side. Im actually going to invest in a thin headband soon to start keeping my bangs off my forehead and out of my eyes. I have changed my goal length as well. I originally wanted mid back but after reading soo many great posts and seeing all your amazing long hair I have decided to try for lower back or waist length :) i also plan on mini goals like shoulder length, mid back, and then my goal or lower back and maybe waist ! I cant wait :)
Have you ever posted a photo? It's a pretty simple step and would serve as more of an update than just words.
Is'nt that feeling great? That is so much a part of being a longhair. It's not just the look, but how it feels as you move and how it moves. Do keep us updated.

Go on post an picture or we can always ask Hercule Poirot to have a quick google :-)
According my friend Hercule they found a deju-vu on Karen's hair Boutique site:

"Hi, I am new to the forum here. I am a young guy who has finally decided to grow my hair out long. I didnt mind it but I always dreamt of having really long flowing hair. Finally I decided that I was going to grow it out and keep my hair nice and long. I have created this journal to showcase my progress and other hair related matierial as I grow mine out. Any advice will be appreciated :)
As of today, the first day of the journal, my hair is around 3 inches long for the longest strand. My goal is mid back and then I want to donate it to either Pantene Beautiful Lengths or Locks of Love. After it is cut to my shoulders, I then want to grow it out again down to mid back or maybe longer :)"
Surely we can see your ultimate goal and you have to grow it first and as for LOL well rofl! I've always said a picture is better then a 1000 words!
Cheers,

Hey, you got quite a thing going on at the Hair Boutique!LOL.Looks like they want to see a few pics too:)I have to ask you though what's up with wanting to donate to Locks Of Love or should I say Lose Of Length!LOL.You'll never achieve waist length in this lifetime resorting to that!Anyway lets have a lookski pic as soon as possible.Cheers and happy growing:)

Interesting observations from longtime users. I would suggest you level with our users as some may feel you are trying to deceive and that's not nice. Not to mention we are a mens longhair site not a hair farming site.
We look forward to your reply.

I didn't know this post would cause such a stir. Im sorry for that. I definately did not deceive anybody. I plan on growing my hair long enough to get a 10 inch ponytail. At taht time I will donate it to Locks of Love. It is something that I have wanted to do for a long time now being that cancer has affected people in my life so much. It is a great cause and all should support it. After the donation, I then plan on letting it grow as long as I want, preferably even mid or lower back. With me being young, I will have plenty of time to do this. Sorry for the confusion.
The best thing to do would be to sell your hair yourself and then give the money to a cancer charity or, even better, just give money to a cancer charity and leave your hair out of it altogether.
Well said and couldn't agree with you more Jason. I've been raising money for UK cancer research for the past 3 years.
I always thought that we were here to encourage growth and maintenance of longhair and not supporting dodgy charities! I know people myself with cancer and also having being diagnosed myself and my hair is still growing! :-)
Cheers,
John.B
This is just one thing we found I'm sure there's more
Locks of scam
Then there's this one.
New York Times article
I can understand you wanting to do something beneficial for cancer research as I too have lost many family members to that dreaded illness. Most recently my mom passed away from it so its quite fresh in my mind. With that said donating hair to Locks Of Love does not cure the disease. There is nothing about giving up your hair that will extend anyone's life.If it did I would be right there to help but since it doesn't then why bother as its just a feel good exercise and some guys are also shamed into donating.Anyway do what you want with your hair but there are much more productive ways to help with cancer my friend.
