To condition your hair with the gel inside of vitamin E capsules? My mom tried it once and it made her hair really shiny.
huh. makes sense but youd have to have a damn lot of vitamin e capsules, it would probably be better to take the capsules and use vitamin e enriched shampoo. tresemme and i think garnier fructis make those
Probably all it did was coat her hair. The vitamin makers probably weren't thinking of it being used on hair so I don't
know how much help it is, and more than likely she can get a
similar result with a good conditioner for a lot less money.

You can actually get small bottles of vitamin E oil, but it is still expensive compared to other oils or conditioners. Vitamin E oil is very thick as well, and would probably have to be diluted with another oil to get it into your hair well. On the obverse, the best thing to do might be to take Vitamin E periodically since oily vitamins like that and fish oil and the rest promote healthy hair from the inside.
I am sure it would make one's hair shiny, but whether it would be better than any other oil, jojoba, etc., it is hard to say.
Manufacturers use a variety of ingredients in E capsules. Some have wheat germ oil, a natural source of E, some will have gelatin or glycerin added. Probably your best bet is to stick with something like jojoba.

Vatimine E oil in the cap form is mixed with a few other items as well. Sometimes they can contain sugar and or salts (Saline) which will cause resadue and can even lead to breakage.
You should, if you want to use Vit E oil, get the pure stuff. The more Vatimine E in the product will mean it's more expensive, but it will be better quality.
Pure Vitamine E oil is used often with African American braided styles. They apply oil to the scalp to stop itching, healing sunburns etc. It's also good for people who have issues will damaged hair because of coloring.
It's thick though and sometimes it will make your hair look greasy. So if you have oily hair...do not use it.
Here is a link to a lady who knows her oils.
Peace mate.
E Oil for Hair

I would say avoid it, Josh. Vitamin E capsule contents are very sticky. Just use a good conditioner.
