14 months since my buzz cut :) I finally feel like a long hair even though I'm not quite there yet. I think at 18 months I can be considered a longhair. 9 inches of growth... only at 7 now.
Getting A LOT of positive and nice hair comments from people. Big difference from when I was at 0-10 months which were mixed emotions. NOT THAT I CARE haha. I will grow it out to my goal length no matter if the hole world hates my hair :].
Hair routine: Water only washes Sunday-Friday. Lots of Conditioner on Saturday :)

Wow, Adam, great hair so far. It looks really cool now, and it is only going to get better over the next months. I am not surprised that you are getting positive comments since you have a look going on that is very envious. The chin hair complements it well too. You are going to be quite pleased with all those curls and waves when your hair hits shoulder length. Get ready for swooning and fawning women and lots more compliments even if your not wearing Axe Body Spray.

Whoever mentioned pleasing the world in the first place? It's only for my very own sake that I grow my hair and believe everyone should grow so. Besides, I once already tried to please the world by trimming it, and I came to regret big time.

My point exactly, Nikola. I've never given in to peer pressure or ny sort of pressure and I will not no matter what comments I get. Though, the bad comments made me feel bad but I just remember that I was happy the way I am :]
Dang man, our looks almost EXACTLY the same right now. I cut about 18" off in early April (to "dedread")and left about 6" all over...I asked her to cut it as if I had shaved my head so it is all one length.
Anyway, I have almost the exact same routine as well and our hair looks damn near identical. Keep it up!

Thanks for posting your very impressive update pics:)Even at your early stages of growing out your hair you look like a pro at it already.I see nothing wrong with your hair style right now so even longer will be that much better.As for those naysayers.... don't even pay them any attention as who are they to comment on longhair if they don't have it long themselves.I'd say those people are just jealous of your fabulous hair and just want to tear you down.Keep the faith my friend:)Cheers

I have dark, curly hair too (at about 8 months), not too much unlike yours when I finger comb it, but I was paranoid of getting a mullet and cut the back! Seeing your pics makes me regret doing so even more. Anyways, keep up the routine!

I too was paranoid but of course I still have the layers because of a buzzcut but they are looking better the longer it grows. I can't bring myself to cut the back now. I have decided to cut my hair to all one length at 3 years.
Looks good Adam and I can see it's starting to get long enough where it's relaxing closer to the scalp. The ends will always be curly I would imagine.
I would consider you a longhair now so it just gets better from here.

I have a similar hair type to yours and know the hassles/curse of having thick curly hair in the awkward phrase.
Your hair progress is firing away on all follicles (or most of 'em) and I have no doubt that in another year or two you will have an awesome mop of hair!

It's no wonder you're getting positive comments--your hair looks awesome. Curls really do rock, although the extra time growing can seem like a penalty. Anyway, looking good and I do hope you keep it growing.
