The reason I'm putting this as a thread and not contacting you personally is because others here may be curious about your answer to my question as well.
If I may ask; When did you decide to grow your hair out? What date, and how old were you if you remember? What length was it when you started, and did you get trims? And how about your beard?
You have awesome hair genes, and I can only look in awe at your mane.

Hi Ivix, I started growing my hair in 1992. Here is a split image showing me in 1987 and 2006. I avoided trims except for an itty bitty one about 1994. You can see I had a rat tail, which I never cut off. The rat tail just got swallowed up by surrounding hair as it grew out. The beard has been growing untrimmed for maybe 3 years.

Although I never knew you in 1987, the fact that I was physically present that day when Bill (or was it Larry?) took that pic of you in Golden Gate Park on the right, means that I can happily verify that this is indeed your amazingly looooooooong and real hair!!!

Hi Ken, I am not sure who took that one. It may have been someone other than Bill or Larry.
I am doing OK, but a bit worried.
I would sure like to have another long hair meet soon. We are way overdue. Just make sure it is on a day when the Bay Bridge is open. (Pandemic H1N1 flu has scared me away from using public transit and all crowded indoor places.)
There is Will's long hair party too. If H1N1 is around then, I won't be attending it either. (last Saturday in Sept.) Stay tuned.
