Your hair is coming along well, Duncan. Your hair appears to be coarse in texture, along with being perfectly straight. That is the perfect combination to grow to a meter in length, if you have the desire and genetics to do so. (My ponytail is over a meter in length.) Keep growing that mane, it looks good.

Hey there Scott, Thanks for the feedback on my hair which I always appreciate coming from you. It's encouraging to think that I have the potential for long living hair as most of the hairs that I have shed are the long hairs and I have counted the hairs shed in the shower (washing hair only twice a week) being only 20-30 strands collected from the plug hole sieve which isn't as many as might be expected. I believe that there's a chance my hair might reach waist-length which is my long-term goal if I get to mid-back length first. My hair texture according to a hairdresser is of the fine type, and the grey hair taking over is of the medium hair texture.They say that we have fewer hairs on our head as we age, so the grey hairs becoming thicker then my fine hair is good. My growth rate is about 6 inches a year.

Thanks for the inspiring words David. My longest hair strands are now 10 inches long (or 26 cm)- & I've committed myself to a minimum of 3 years of growing out my hair and everyday I am liking my mane more and more.

Thanks for giving me the recognition of "longhair" status. Made my day to hear that. I have always looked forward to your updates as your hair is thick like mine and appears to grow at about the same rate too - so I'm visualising that my hair will be about the same length as yours at the 2 year mark in February 2010. I hope to have waist length hair when the world ends in Dec. 2012 (if the Mayan Prophecy comes true!)
