The other day I went to this agency and filled out an application.
the place gave me vibes that indicated it was a bit 'uptight'.
I overheard one of the women(an older lady) make some comment "they usually are" which sounded slightly negative, but I didn't hear the entire thing.
this old lady who looked 70 didn't seem very friendly and interviewed me. she said I would be contacted if this company which they were taking applications for was interested.
one of the items that I signed was an agreement to drug testing.
at present I do not use any illegal substances, but I was wondering what this old lady was thinking when she interviewed me with my long hair and all.
are office personel biased against long haired Men?
what do you guys think?

Probably depends on the firm. Is it a smaller company? Where is it located? Most employers these days are just looking for QUALIFIED employees, which aren't easy to find, particularly in fields which require certain skills or a certain educational background.
I don't think long hair = drug usage anymore. Don't worry about the drug testing if you're not using any. It's fairly routine everywhere for legal reasons (ie: insurance). BTW, alchohal is usually tested as well. Few employers want chronic drinkers, either.
