I wrote a thread two days ago, guess it never made it to the board.I guess i'll have to write it again.
What i wanted to ask was how to manage all the new growth. I notice all the short hair start sticking out a day or two after the shampoo day. It looks horrible in the sun especially, like a mat covered with tiny twigs. I don't use a conditioner, i have tried that though and it doesn't seem to help. I use a serum, but that's usually just a day's feel good(and it's very costly as well, so can't go on using it everyday). My hair is fairly straight and fine and i don't think it's excessively dry or anything. In fact, they get kinda limp/oily in a few days of washing. Some help, please?
I have very curly hair and also get "frizzies." I generally use a bit of Infusium 23 leave-in to tame them. It works pretty well...use too much, though, and your hair will look a bit wet unless you run your fingers through it.
I'd recommend using conditioner almost every day.
Other than that, you're the awkward stage for a little while. Until straight hair gets long enough to hold itself down under its own weight, it will stick up a little. And there will always be some little frizzy hair that will stick up. It's not as bad as you think
You just have to give it some time. When it gets a little longer gravity will help it lay down more.
You really should start using conditioner, it's cheap and just a little makes your hair look a lot better. It's just one of the things you have to adjust to.
I use conditioner in the shower, infusium 23 after it drys and olive oil if it starts to frizz up but my hair is dry, yours might be different.
