I washed my hair this morning, so I left it loose to give it a chance to dry. Anyway, I had to go to the post office and the shops on the way to work - yeah, I got in late today, but I did actually start work at 6am (one of the reasons it's one of those days). Anyway, it's been quite breezy today and I'm not used to having my hair loose much these days so it was really getting in my face, to the point where I couldn't see where I was going. I got laughed at crossing the car park - which I fully agree with; I'd have done the same if it had been someone else trying to juggle a backpack, carrier bag and car keys and trying to get their hair disentangled from a week's beard growth. Anyway, then came the final indignity. I had to re-open my car door to let my hair in. It was only when I tried to turn to put my seat belt on and couldn't that I realised what had happened.
Still, at least I can laugh about it. I don't think I'll tell my other half when I get home. If I do, I'll never hear the end of it. Besides, I think I've entertained enough people for one day. I'm just glad I didn't drive off with it hanging out the door!
It must be somthing in the air. I've been having "one of those days" as well - fortunately I got my hair in a bun early before things started going wrong ....
I found a penny at lunch though - so hopefully my luck will turn.

I'd think more about your luck if you'd found a picture of Ben Franklin instead of Abe Lincoln.... [grin]

my best friend and we both spotted an image of Ben Franklin on the ground at exactly the asme time. We did not argue about it, as he needed the money much more than I did. Talk about being in the right place at the right time. This happened at the Berkeley Marina about 12 years ago.

I was even more lucky than that - it was Queen Elizabeth...

Having such a good sense of humor really help with those kinds of days. Who can we laugh at if not ourselves?
