Hey guys,
I've made this journey for three years so far. Been on the board for two years. No trims, no dying, no straightening, nothing but letting it go natural, by itself. I have no plans to quit or trim, for I am going at least to my ass, or just below it, as a minimum goal. Scott's mane serves as a great influence.

Hi Hegg. I say at this time, you have reached or just passed mid-back, which is my goal length (I myself am not going all the way to my waist). You have straight hair, so wet or dry, there's no difference in length. Curly hair, which I have, does seem longer when wet.

Thank you for your comments. I'm happy to have made it this far in what seems like a flash of time. Curly hair will take some more time to reach mid back but you will certainly get there.

I have the same hair as yours and I'm at 2 and a half right now, waiting patiently for atleast what length you have.
Your post gives me hope for when february comes around.
I allways think my hair is shorter than ir really is, then i look over my shoulder in a mirror and remember how long it really is.

Thank you for your compliments! I do put it in a pony tail, I have done that a lot lately due to the heat. Sometimes I will segment that tail but that's all I ever do if it's not loose. Thanks again for your comments!

You are welcome :) Your ponytail sounds awesome. What comments have u received about your hair like postive or negative? and any advice for me, i want to go to lower back or waist?
I don't really receive comments about it, people never approach me. One I remember is that a dear lady friend of mine said she was jealous. She has really beautiful hair, too. As for advice: Don't trim until you are at your final goal, don't blow dry, wash when oily, consume protein rich foods, drink lots of water, brush with a boar bristle brush regularly, and just try not to focus on it all the time, it will grow faster that way.

I guess this goes to everybody not just you, but what makes a boar bristle better than a plastic brush. I haven't used one and was thinking about getting one because of all the comments about them here, but I dont know what makes them better.
A boar bristle brush will distribute the oils from your scalp throughout your hair, from the top to the bottom. I've been using one for about a year and it's improved my hair a lot, they take the shed hair out nicely as well, making your hair un-tangled, too.

Yes, Hegg, I agree that Scott's mane is an EXCELLENT example of long hair inspiration! It's also been my priviledge to have met Scott in-person on more than one occasion, --- so, I can definitely testify to the fact that his hair is 100% real and fully attached to his head (LOL)!!
Very very nice pics there. I'm always so glad to see young longhairs growing their manes out while youth is on their side (meaning, that one's hair is naturally fuller, thicker, and of a richer color than the hair on the heads of those of us in the "old geezer category (lol)....

Hegg, that's one awesome head of hair you have there. Your growth rate is clearly impressive given the length you've acquired in just 3 years. As for the remainder of your length goals...that will come in no time at all. Time flies at this stage of the growing process.
Excellent update. I think the last picture is my favourite, for the pose and the crispness of the untrimmed ends.
By the way, how's your Norwegian coming along? (You are learning right? If not, ignore me)

Your hair is superb, Hegg. It is thick and full, in perfect condition, and shows no signs of damage at all. Your hair care routine is perfect. I would recommend a goal of at least classic length. (top of thighs) Taking a look at your hair and seeing how thick it is at the ends, this goal is very likely reachable for you. Height can be a barrier to reaching classic length, but you appear to be 5'8" to 5'9" tall in the photo. This will work in your favour to reaching your goal. For someone 6'6" tall, classic length can be a real challenge to achieve. Keep growing your mane for sure.

Extremely impressive Hegg. One of the best manes on the board. It's amazing how perfectly your hair lays and how it's free of any frizz or flyaways. Great color and I wish I had your texture/thickness. You obviously take great care of it.

Yes. I really like Accept and wouldn't say they are overrated, but are extremely mainstream compared to any black metal band, even Immortal.

No, I'm not. I never said any of those bands aren't good nor did I ever claim to not like a band as soon as it's mainstream and or overrated. I simply stated that Rockibilia only has a selection of mainstream / overrated bands that are ridiculously generic labels.

even if they all were it would make sense money-wise for the owners. It also makes more sense that whoever runs the site has heard of the mainstream bands more, plus they will have more stuff available to sell.
Not every single band, no, but around 2/3 I would say, yes.
Well, it shouldn't be about the money in my opinion, it should should about the music and passion for the music vs. the profit being made. But I apologize if anything I said offended you.
While that is mostly true, I found that they have some awesome Death Metal bands like Unleashed and Entombed, which are by no means popular and mainstream.

Congratulations Hegg on your hair growth progress at only 36 months.
You are blessed with an outstanding perfect head of hair that appears to grow more quickly then the average, no split ends, and is thick and shiny. I am amazed that your ends are still healthy with no trims after 3 years!
Whatever your hair care routine is - it is paying off well for you and I have no reason to doubt that you could achieve the potential of classic length if so desired. You have time and youth on your side.
I'm inclined to think that your growth rate is probably about 20cm or 8 inches a year and it appears to be about 2 foot long now.
