Well, on the 22nd, my stepmom & my dad had a baby boy (yep, 16 year difference between us) he has blonde hair right now and I'm sure my dad will probably raise him as a longhair too. I had it past my shoulders when I was 3. I was always the kid through elementary school 'who had long hair' even when it got down to about 3 or 4 inches long.
Unfortunately my stepdad has had some influence on my brother (he has almost a buz... for now). But he obvously isn't involved with this kid at all.
My stepmom has some mixed feelings about long hair on guys. But since she knows me I don't think it's a problem. (My dad got his hair cut before they met)
Anyways I hope, and don't think she will, make his hair stay short.
maybe in 10 or 15 years we will have another Jarvis family member on the board.
Congratulations to you and your family.
Bruce
Thank you Bruce. I still dont know his name, haven't seen him, hope I'll figure that out in the next couple of days. I'm at my moms and probably won't be at my dads this weekend like usual.
That's WONDERFUL news, Jarvis!
Don't worry about how he will turn out to be as he gets, older, though: I'm a strong believer in people eventually becoming whoever they naturally are destined to be, as long as they fearlessly follow their own heart. Parental guidance and home atmosphere of course play a big role in one's future; but, whether or not your little brother will want to become a longhair as he gets older is a hard thing to predict, --- so, just enjoy him as he is!
And again, a big CONGRATS to you!!

Thanks Ken.
I think a need for long hair runs in my family though. I have it, my dad and uncle had it, their dad had it, his dad had it. Thats all I know but it's still a good run.
And yes I will enjoy him as he is. It's just weird when I think that when he is getting his licence to drive I'll be 32 years old.
Congrats on the new potentially long-haired family member!
It took me about a year after I was born to start growing hair. Making up for that now.

Thanks. I went to see him today, they still don't have a name for him though.
