Just thought I'd share a couple pics I just took of my new ride with some hair included.Sorry for the condition of my hair as the humidity has not been kind to it.LOL.One of the downsides to longhair I guess but still love it just the same:)At least I did my part keeping the US auto industry afloat!Hope all had a great weekend.Cheers
Mark
Hey! The car looks awesome! And the hair looks good even with the humidity haha.
Thanks Adam for your comments. The humidity does have a way of giving my hair the nuttidave look on some days:)Cheers
Mark
A wise choice if you decide to move to California. There are many places where you really do need 4wd. You can save a lot of money in rent by moving into some mountain areas where 4wd comes in handy, and some of those areas are surprisingly close to San Francisco and Silicon Valley! Also, it will help you get to Reno/Tahoe during the Winter, if you like to ski.
Hey Steve,
Well when I bought this vehicle California was definately on my mind.I didn't want to bring my old full size pickup out as this is much smaller and is more fun to drive.I've already booked my flight for mid October so maybe we can meet again while I'm out west:)That would be awesome!Hope things are going well for you out in CA as maybe I can be your neighbor if I move out.LOL.Cheers my friend.
Mark
Hi Mark,
Your hair still looks way better then the new piece of silver plastic car. Remember the car is replacable, the hair isn't.
Duncan
Hi Duncan, thanks for your insight on the hair vs car comparo.Well this Jeep is replacing my much bigger Ford Pickup which I'm glad to be selling at this time however I'm keeping the hair dammit!LOL
Mark
Nice ride. I just bought a brand new 2dr Wrangler in January. Most fun vehicle I've ever owned, I love Jeeps.
I admit the Jeeps just have that cool, aggressive look. The four door Wranglers in particular are very nice if you require the extra room.Well I hope we both have good luck with our Jeeps my friend:)
Mark
Hi Mark,
In spite of the humidity the hair looks good. I hope you enjoy your new wheels although I'm not a fan of Chrysler (now Fiat) products I know it's a thrill to get a new car.
My car is 11 years old with 300,000 miles on it so I'll drive it until it dies.
Kevin
Hi Kevin, thanks for the kind words.Certainly I hope this Jeep treats me well since I've never owned Chrysler products before.Well I have two choices if things go wrong... Take it to Washington DC since they are covering the warranty or call "Fix it again Tony!"LOL.
Mark
Cool, nice ride Mark.
The really good thing I see here is that a longhair is going to be seen driving it around!
One of my friend's dad cracked on me last year when we got our minivan. It's pretty nice with a DVD player and all. He thought it was real funny when I drove up in it with my hair hanging loose. Lol. I said "Damn right, that will show them."
Paul
Hi Paul.It goes to show ya that longhair can make anything look cool even if its a Yugo!LOL.When was the last time you saw one of those. The one cool thing with my new ride is it came with Sirius satellite radio which is a first for me.You gotta love the boneyard metal station they have.Anyway hope all goes well with this car being my first Chrysler product.
Mark
The hair looks oke although a bit messed up, longhair is never the same that's part of the fun.
I don't like the car, it's way to huge it must consume a lot of fuel. And it won't be very good for the environment.
But everybody has his own choice so congratz with your new car!
Hi Vincent,
Oh please be easy on my new ride as it is a smaller SUV even though it looks huge in the pic.You should see the pickup that it is replacing as that was HUGE!So in reality I am downsizing with this vehicle. As for my hair the humidity has a way of frizzing it up thus the messy look.So people like messy longhair:)HeHe
Mark
Oke, it looks huge in the picture that's why I thought that.
Hi Mark,
What a great new set of wheels, and thank you for sharing your photos with us. I am sure it makes getting around in that NYC traffic a little easier!
Yes, the humidity! We sure have had a lot of that in Nova Scotia recently. There was an article in my Saturday paper telling us to expect more of the same in August, due to a stagnant weather pattern, and melting of the Greenland ice cap is behind this. Ironically, it has been much more pleasant recently in Iqualuit, Baffin Island, (well north of the arctic circle), than here in eastern Canada and NE USA.
Take care,
David
Hi David, thanks for the kind words as always. You are right as you need to drive something substantial around here if you want to survive even though I'm downsizing from my pickup.Still have the beemer as you saw when I met you up in northern NJ.Best of both worlds I suppose.
The weather around here has gotten worse with higher humidity and now its raining more again.Kind of reminds me of the rainy June we had here.Definately no water shortages this summer.I love summer anyway but it tough on the hair at times.LOL.Hope all is going well with you and Tammy my friend:)Cheers
Mark
Hey Mark,
Congrats on your new wheels! It looks like a very fun but practical vehicle. The hair's looking great too!
Regards,
Jason
Thanks Jason for your comments.I really like this new vehicle and am glad to get rid of the pickup. Here is a pic of me 1n 1998 by that monster!LOL.Cheers my friend
Mark
Loving the hair, man! Looks really good.
And nice car too, even though I'm not a big fan of cars or motorcycles.
-Andrea
Hi Andrea,
Thanks for your comments my friend. After longhair cars are a turn on for me amongst other things:)Cheers
Mark
Mark;
Congratulations on the Jeep !! Now, you and Opal bring that beast out here and I will show you how to "dirty it up" proper !!
The "pass" (Echo Canyon) in this photo is about 15 miles from my place. It crosses from Death Valley, California through the Funeral Mountains to Amargosa Valley, Nevada...Really fantastic scenery and geology. I have a drilling job there later this year. My 1995 Isuzu Rodeo still makes the trip just fine.
High winds and blowing dust will "dirty up" that hair too ! Ha!
Thanks for Sharing
Walter
Hi Walter, what a cool pic of that Cherokee crawling the rocks!I really like my new Jeep ,which btw is the Liberty for those who didn't notice.I'll have to get out your way someday as I do love that landscape.A friend of mine used to own an Isuzu "Pup" pickup which was very reliable but certainly no frills!LOL.Kind of a shame Isuzu is basically out of the US market though.Anyway Opal and I are ready to tackle the next frontier my friend:)Cheers
Mark
Nice ride Mark and you're looking well too. I think your hair looks great despite the rain and humidity that we've had this summer. It seem like I've been stuck in friz city lately!
Keep on truckin'!
Bruce
Hi Bruce. Thanks for your nice comment but when I look at myself in these pics I think I'm starting to look old!Yikes!LOL.Seems like life is going by too fast so I thought why not treat myself to a new car.Fortunately even being old I still have a lot of hair which makes Hairball very happy:)Cheers my friend
Mark
Wow Mark that's a big old vehicle and makes my Renault look like a mini! Is it much of a gas guzzler? Nice set of wheels through and would be good for crushing the little darlings in the school run!
Cheers,
John.B
John, you are so funny!LOL.I love people like you with that kind of humor. It reminds me of how boring I am!Yeow!I haven't tested the gas mileage yet but I know it will be better than the pickup. You know going from a V8 to a V6 has to be an improvement.Anyway I'll have to hunt down the little brats at the schoolyard since you reminded me:)OK, just joking...maybe
Mark
Hi mark,
Here's my old girl. My 12 year old Renault Laguna that has done 224000 miles and on it's second engine and does not owe my a penny and gotten us to Wacken a couple of times :-)
La Voiture Francais c'est superb:-)
Cheers,
John.B
John, looks like a great car and you can't complain about getting your monies worth from it.I wish I could buy a Euro spec car here in the US but unfortunately the pesky regulations seem to prevent that.I'd love to see some more of those diesels here.
Mark
Boy! My first car was a Renault; I liked it, but I put in as much money over the next couple of years fixing it as I paid to buy it. (Obviously I bought it well-used, but still I just couldn't justify keeping it. I think I saw it abandoned on the side of a freeway a couple of years later.) Hope you've had better luck! :-)
My Myspace page
Wow, that's a really nice jeep.
And your hair looks great, but I feel you on the humidity. I live in the south and rarely is there ever a day without high humidity in the summer.
Best wishes,
Josh
Thanks Josh for your comments on the Jeep and my hair:)As much as I love the summer months over winter the humidity is definately a downer.Hopefully it will break soon and get a bit drier.Keep that awesome mane growing my friend:)
Mark
---------------------------------------------------------
It looks big to me, until I saw the truck. You definitely have downsized. Hopefully it is good on fuel consumption.
Your hair looks fine to me. Take care my friend.
Scott
Hi Scott,
Well its really not that big being one of the smaller utility vehicles but next to that pickup......it's a shrimp!!LOL
Mark
TELL ME ABOUT IT (humidity). I'm so done with this crappy NJ summer lol. Congrats on the new truck Mark! I hope it treats you well. Hope everything is good with you, we still have to plan a meetup at some point, as we're relatively close. Good to hear from you man, and the US auto industry needs more folks like u haha.
-Phil
Hey Phil, yes we do need to get that first official meetup done so just let me know when you have time.My most recent mlhh meetup was with our own David N. around a month ago up in Ramsey.Definately fun meeting the guys.
The weather is really starting to get me POed!LOL.After that rainy June we had a couple great weeks early in July then all of a sudden...here we go again!Grrrrrrrrrr.
I guess you can say I helped the economy buying this Jeep. Its my first Chrysler product so I hope its a good one:)Cheers my friend.
Mark
Looking great Mark!
Nice looking new ride, too!
My last "big" ride was a lifted 4WD 1976 Chevy Blazer. I sold it in 1999. I kinda miss it...
I've got a photo of me with it somewhere. If I find it, I'll share it.
- Oren
Hey Oren, thanks for your response.Yes I do like the new ride over the big truck it is replacing.Who knows maybe in 10 years I'll kind of miss the old truck!LOL.I'm impressed that your Blazer lasted so long as here in the northeast it would have been rusted out by then.I'd love to see that pic if you can find it with you, your hair, and the truck together:)Cheers my friend.
Mark
Wow, Markie-babes, nice jeep, the hair is looking awesome of course aswell. Hope you're keeping well mate, attached is a pic of my old 'White Angel' 160,000 on the clock and runs as sweet as a nut :-))
cheers Dave
woops, here it is !! Doh!
;-)
Hey Davieee Babes!
Wow, that's some serious machinery you've got there as it looks great for all the miles on it.Very useful too with all the cargo room.Have you owned it since new?Anyway thanks for your comments as always my friend:)Cheers to you buddy!
Mark
Hi Mark, thanks, it is a cool truck, it was 8 years old when I got it (its a 1996), does cost money to keep it running, but it is an all-time classic in my opinion, got covered in mud today!
Cheers mate, take care
~ Dave
Have always thought they had such a great look to them :D
Thanks, they are a timeless classic in my opinion.
cheers Dave
