I think "Oh, Please" is not as ignorant about hair as he pretends; after all, even if he's lived in middle-America hicktown all his little life, surely he would have seen long-haired women.
I think the sole reason for his posts is to provoke just the kind of reactions he's succeeded in getting. I can almost hear his sputtering giggling.
Perhaps the best response to such monkeys would be to just ignore their posts. Just a suggestion.

probably. I have been getting tempted to truly flame it all to hell
and back, especially since it feels like it's becoming a degraded art
form. (I mean, really, people used to be so *creative* in their
flames! and the last time I got into a flame war, Mosaic was in
beta...) but it sounds like everyone else is getting sick of it, so
I'll find a good picture of me which shows off my length to scan in,
and after that, almost definately behave myself.

Well, I'm glad you agree with me at least some of the time. Hey, Coyote Pup, I'll make you a deal - You show one real picture of yourself with your "hip length" hair and I PROMISE I'll (a) apologize to you and all others, AND (b) never post another degrading message. Deal????? Time to "put up or shut up," as I see it.
Can't wait. Speaking of proving claims, why haven't you posted any pics to prove that you really are a jerk? You expect us to take your word for it?!

Heh - wasn't that what I was suggesting in the first place. As you
can probably guess by me not being on for a week, it's been pretty
hectic this week, but as I said, I was going to do it in any case,
mostly for the benefit of the friends I've made here. Since the
picture I mentioned is *somewhere* in the apartment, I'll get some new
ones - my fiancee's been wanting to take some cool pictures involving
my hair anyhow. Fortunately, my schedule is easing up, so we should
be able to get something up within a week. (btw, anyone I haven't
been communicative with the past week or so, sorry - it really has
been ridiculous...)
