I guess companies will do anything to get you to buy their stuff. Thought this was pretty strange.
--Rick
for sure. They should offer discounts on hair care products instead.
Scott
WOW! 5 bucks for that box of cereal. Where I work it's $3.89.
Part of my job is to order this stuff and funny how I always managed to forget to order that particular variety. We were always out of stock.....oops.
Kevin
Yeah... "Welcome to California. Give us your money and go home!" :-)
Wow great bargain! Any takers?
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm.Well maybe the buzzcut guys are buying cases of that stuff since they must need to get shaved daily...right!LOL.Must put a hurtin' on the old finances keeping that dome shiny:)
Mark
LOL... good one, Mark!
--Rick
I will certainly not be making any coupon clippings for this cereal. Hmmmmmmmm.........fill the bowl with milk or shampoo 4 this one.
"... fill the bowl with milk or shampoo 4 this one."
Yeah... but that stuff probably tastes nasty!
--Rick
It's all part of the Hair Nazi conspiracy.
Paul
Maybe Kubanpanzer's boss can buy him some. LOL
Such expensive cereals! And I think the idea of a free cut it's really dumb...how did they even come up with it?
-Andrea
It's the marketing department sitting around and saying, "it's the Great Depression! We need a bonus with value! not a toy or something frivolous. I know- nobody has a job and everyone gets a haircut before they go to a job interview, right? .."
Well, they'll make it sound more intelligent, but that's the jist, I'm sure.
Here in the San Francisco bay area, this seems to be a somewhat price for cereal. How did they come up with idea? Probably scraping the bottom of the barrel to make $$$. I agree, Andrea, it's pretty lame.
--Rick
It is lame indeed! I'm not sure how much here in Italy cereals are...since I never eat them, but I'm pretty sure some are much less than that, but I heard some brands can be that price as well.
-Andrea
Very expensive cereal and a very cheap haircut!
Even when I had short hair, I'd have gone for a more expensive trim than that. What do they do, just run clippers over your head and shout, "Next!"?
Not strange at all. Many kids get their hair cut before returning to school in the fall. Wait for the cereal to go on sale (EEEEECK! That/s like $3.99 here, and still pricey), use a coupon (GM frequently has them both in newspaper inserts and online), and take your kidlets in for their back-to-school hair cuts. Two kids for the price of one. I happen to like that cereal but I wait for the 2/$5 sales and use the $1 off coupons. Won't be using that coupon though, for one thing, I don't think there are any Great Cuts chains near here. For another, I do my own hair.
Got a point there, Carol. When I was a kid [still am, but that's another story!], I don't remember getting any special haircuts before returning to school.
Not real sure about any Great Cuts around here... don't need them anyway!
Yeah... $5 is a lot for cereal but this is California. The cost of living might be higher here, but when you look at wages vs. the COL, percentage-wise, it's probably about the same just about anywhere. But then again... maybe prices here are just way too high!
--Rick
I used to get em before school and christmas because "a new haircut looks better for pictures" but I always hated the haircut for a couple months until it got a little longer again, the shortest my hair has ever been is about 3 inches and it just looks weird on me. Ive got a cowlick on my hairline that I can get rid of with heavy enough hair.
My wife will probably insist that our kids get theirs cut, even though they (one of each gender) have long hair and it will probably look worse until it grows back to where it was before the trim. At least she knows better than to try to get me to have mine trimmed. Her hair is long too, but I guess it's ingrained in her mind that they need trims at the start of the school year.
I wanted to buy a box of Cookie Crisp yesterday when I went to the grocery store, but when I saw the ad for "not so great clips", I put it back down and sobbed(lol).
Awwww.... don't cry, Angel. There's probably other things that taste better that Cookie Crisp anyway. Wouldn't really know. I've never had Cookie Crisp! ;-)
--Rick
Rick,
Thank you for your kind words. I did find other cereal, but nothing compares to that sweet cookie taste (haha).
Angel
It's all part of a huge conspiracy!
That was a new on me. I will not buy cerial for a haircut but for the food
No haircut for me!
