Hello everyone. I'm currently trying to figure out how to make my hair very curly like it is in the picture below. The picture attached was taken after I took out my braids (cornrows to be exact) after having them on for 10 days. I LOVE the way my hair looked afterwards, but of course, it went back to normal once I took a shower (I naturally have wavy hair). Does anyone know how I can make my hair look like that again without going through the whole braiding procedure? Do they sell a hair iron to make hair so curly like that? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
-Chris
Hi Chris, great pic of your hair my friend. At first glance I thought that was the natural texture of your hair until I read your message.I hear you though, as it looks so cool that way but really I'd avoid using hair irons and just be happy with the way you hair is naturally. You have great quality hair and why take a chance on harming it just to achieve that style other than doing cornrows again.Once I tried to make my hair more exciting by getting a perm and that was a big mistake being it did harm my hair.I was almost afraid I was going to have to cut a lot off due to the damage but thankfully I was able to save it.Anyway I hope you take good care of your mane being how awesome it is:)

Wow,your hair looked really nice!
I have straight hair and I've been wishing to have it just like in your pic as well. But I realized there's no way to do it wich wouldn't damage my hair so I'm just going to enjoy my hair the way it is...maybe some day i can try with something...but I'd rather not damage my hair.

Wow your hair in the picture is really pretty. I wish mine was like that. I can see why you want to keep it that curly.
You could try braiding you hair when it's damp after washing it, then letting it dry that way. It won't make your hair as curly as cornrows, but it's a lot less work and should still make it more curly than it would otherwise be.
You could use rollers. You have great hair!
Your hair looks great in that photo.
To answer your query, there are three possible ways which don't use heat: 1) try the cornrows again, 2) use hair curlers (ask your mother. She'll remember them.) or 3)use bendy foam rollers and serum.
These methods could actually damage your hair and affect how long it will grow, so be careful if you do decide to down that route. If your aim is length, too much styling will reduce your potential terminal length.
Another option would be a chemical perm, but again, that will affect the texture and moisture content of your hair and its potential length.
I'd suggest enjoying your hair as it is and not worry too much about changing it.
Good luck.
