Inspired by Dave, Walter, et al., I decided to make an update today while I had a little time. Not the best picture certainly, but maybe "semi-wild." As for length, I think I've about topped out, or should that be bottomed out(?), around mid-back or so. It seems to get sparse at about that length, and what I began to do a few months ago was to snip the ends a little so that the very tip of the "V" doesn't look too stringy and sparse. But, overall, I'm happy with what I've grown -- it's been a little over three years with only a minor end-trim.
looks good Matt! hmm yea getting trims every few months will def help your hair grow better and also take fish oil, biotin and msm for your hair and alot of b vitamins will also help boost your hair growth more :) looking good dude long curly hair suits you!
Looking wild, man! I like the look. I'd like to see a picture of your hair from the back, don't you have any? I like a lot curly or wavy hair, so pretty.

"nuttidave-ish"...will be the MLHH vocabulary word of the day !!
Looks great Matt. Thanks for Sharing
Walter
Sem wild it is and a great update. No doubt it was 95 degrees when you took this as I know it's been hot down there as usual.
It's good to see us old timers get an update posted from time to time reminding the world we still have hair. Although you would be probably the youngest of the old timers if that makes sense.
Cheers Matt
Kevin
Great curls Matt! I'd love to see a photo of the back sometime.
Good! The wild look is NEAT!!!
If it were not for the fact that my hair is the way it is, I could live in the "wild look" my whole life.
Looking very nice Matt! You do the wild thing well.
- Oren
So that's what you look like without the sunglasses.
Cool hair Matt, the "wild look" suits you!
Paul
He's like superman!!
but yeah, I had to look twice to see if it was really Matt. The wild look allways loooks good, it's why I wish I had atleast wavy hair. And like Andrea said, do you have a back pic so we can really see how long your hair is now.
Your hair looks fantastic Matt and it sounds like you have a good routine going there as well.Unfortunately can't see your full length in this photo as I'd love to see your midback hair:)Either way you've done well with the wild look ala nuttidave!LOL.Thanks for your update my friend.Cheers.
Mark
Hi Matt,
What a pleasnt surprise getting an update from you, and your curls are awesome. As so many of the others have already asked, it would be cool to see a back photo of your mid back curls!
Keep it growing,
David
Looks good, Matt

Vivien
Hi Matt,
The thatch is looking great mate and it's certainly quite wild but that certainly added to a wonderful appearance. You'll certainly following after our wild Dave as well.
A wonderful update picture and keep it growing.
Cheers,
John.B
Hey Matt, I think that is the longest I have seen your hair, and it is looking fantastic, thats a really good look for you, especially with the full beard.
cheers Dave
Hey guys,
Thank you all for the comments and gracious praises. It has been a long road to getting some long hair back, and not without its bumps.
I wish I had time to thank everyone one-by-one, but I am a little busy -- this is the second day of my new job as a teacher (full time), and I am scrambling to get everything up by Friday, the first day of class. I am attempting to design the class pages in HTML by trial and error for hybrid (half-online) writing courses! Luckily I saved all my old coding from last semester as a template.
I need to make one clarification: my mid-back length is wet length, pulled straight, not "shown," actual length. Once it is dry, my hair isn't but about five or so inches past the shoulders. I call it "effective" length. That's the thing with curls, but I am OK with it.
And as for a back shot, I will get one up, but it will certainly be unimpressive. You as viewers will be nonplussed. It really gets sparse the longer it gets.
Thanks again to everyone, and give me a few days, and I will be back participating on the board.
Hey Matt,
I totally love love LOVE that wild look!!! I've always been jealous of you curly-haired guys; but, I guess I can at least be grateful that my own mane has some waviness to it. In any case, I can't believe it's been 3 whole years since you quit that dictatorial bank job and have been growing that wild-looking mane of yours ever since, --- CONGRATS!!!!
Any pics of the back of your hair coming soon? I realize that takes a willing photographer / friend who will be understanding about our odd attachment to our hair growth progress (LOL); but, just thought I'd put in my request, anyway.
My apologies for being so late in replying, --- just been busy at work (which gets me behind in keeping up w/ MLHH)...
Anyway, back to my main point in replying: you're lookin' GREAT, Matt, --- and thanks for sharing such an excellent update!!
Long Lox 4ever,
Ken

... it's to see you out of the car! You look very scholarly!
