Well, I might not have been born yet for the original concert. But at least I can say I went to the Heroes of Woodstock concert over in Bethel, NY.
Really awesome show!
It was also really nice being part of the majority considering a lot of people had long hair.
I imagine that was Awesome I would loved to have been there.
Woodstock was actually very rainy and muddy not unlike Wacken 2005
which was an Awesome festival too.
Kevin
yeah I wish it rained, haha
there was barely a cloud in the sky, it was very hot out
The August 13th strip of Drabble commemorated the Woodstock anniversary in its own way.

I was very much alive at the time but was totally into the original "longhair" music - classical. I was a student at UC Berkeley, and at times such as these anniversaries, I'm amazed at how oblivious I was to cultural milestones such as Woodstock.
At the time there were longhairs everywhere - but only in enclaves such as Berkeley. When I went places with physically long haired friends, we would sometimes be stared at as if we were aliens. We noticed that when we drove up through Canada, this didn't seem to happen at all.
Anyway, I regret now that I didn't pay more attention at the time to significant events such as Woodstock.
Oh yeah, I was there.
I was only 7 but I knew it was going to be a major longhaired hippie extravaganza so I run away from home, hitched a ride to New York and climbed over the fence.
I left right after Jimmie's star spangled banner hiding on the top of an Alabama bound, tri-colored, hippie van with peace signs all over it.
Man was my mom pissed.
