Hello everyone! My name is Ben, I'm 17 years old and live in Minnesota. I first started growing out my hair in May of '06. To be honest, I can't remember exactly what made me decide to, but between being a musician and a huge science fiction/fantasy fan, I guess it seemed to be the natural thing to do; in any case, now that it's here, I love it. My hair is probably shorter than you'd expect, but between the waves and curls, being 6'7", and an unfortunate incident with the barber after a year of growth, this is where it's at. Pulled straight it's nearly to the bottom of my shoulder blades.
I have been very lucky up to this point in that my parents, my boss, and my school have been completely fine with my hair. I work at a nursing home and as long as everything is under a hair net then it's no problem. I'm also hoping to become a professional musician, so I don't expect it to be an issue later in life either.
Anyways, I'm glad that I found this wonderful forum and hope to stick around. Keep it growing!

Thanks Vincent! I play guitar, piano, trumpet, and sing. My favorite genre is definitely metal, and I spend most of my time on guitar, but I also love classical.

Welcome, Ben M. Your hair looks fantastic. Being super tall will make your hair appear to not look as long. (Probably fewer than 1 in 1000 males are 6'7" tall or more.) Even so, your hair looks great. Keep it growing.

Hey Ben,well as long as there are at least a few longhairs then. Its not like you are alone in the crowd.Imagine if you were the only longhair in town!It's cool to be unique but it's also nice to see other like minded people in real life:)

dude killer hair man! your 6'7?? holy crap haha im only 6'0 and im 22 brother. To get extreme length of hair at your height will take time,but not too long. I would say your hair is about shoulder blade length and going lower back or waist length shouldn't take long at all for ya.
Peter Steele from Type O Negative is 6'7 and it took him a long time to get lower back length being that tall as well, but its well worth it my friend!
