Took these 2 shots just now.
I guess I wanted to gauge the responses from a few groups as to whether or not it's time for the "T" word.
My haircare routine as of late hasn't been that great. Well, I shampoo and/or condition every other day, depending on which bottle I actually grab. If it's condition, so be it. LOL
I wear my hair in a bun 98% of the time. It's both pretty convenient but at the same time kinda defeating the purpose of having long hair :/
My 'fantasy' would be to have my hair reach belt level.I doubt it would be possible. And even if it were, I think I'm looking at perhaps another year and a half (if lucky). More if I do a split end trim, etc.
Aside from the hair, I'm attempting to grow a slightly longer beard. Perhaps another 2 inches to the length.I guess it's 1 of those things that will be decided as it grows.
Also working on the spare tire. Hehe.
Anywho, here are the pics and I am getting ready to watch Summerslam!!! :)
doesn't look in need of a trim. I say go for your goal and don't look back. If at your goal you are unsatisfied with your ends then trim away :)
by the way, awesome hair!
your hair is great, I would wait for lenght then trim

Your hair is absolutely gorgeous, Alexander. If you are not having tangles at the ends, just let it grow. You are good for several more inches for sure.

GREAT pics there, ATP!!
To my eyes, it doesn't look at all like you need a trim. But, "to each his own!"
I totally understand what you're saying here, as I could say the same for myself as you just did above. Buns protect the hair, though, once it get to that length where it risks more damage to the elemnts everyday. It's also easier to put one's hair up in a bun than it is to do one's own braid.
My suggestion is to pursue this fantasy NOW, while you are still young, --- because as one ages, even those of us without any MPB (or, in my case, a small degree of a receding hairline) can still experience hair thinning as one gradually grows older.
As far as split ends go, I use the "Search & Destroy" method of chasing after the individual offenders, cutting off the damaged, split, or broken ends with a sharp pair of scissors. I do this weekly, since I currently choose NOT to go into hair salons anymore for professional annual trims (which I used to do). I hate hate HATE split ends, though. If it came down to a choice between going in for a professional trim VS allowing the split ends to just accumulate, I'd choose the former rather than the latter. To me, too many visible split ends not only look horrble; but, also FEEL horrible to touch, --- they can ruin the beauty of an otherwise nice head of hair! So, the oly way I know how to minitor that problem without going in for a professional trim is to "Search & Destroy" split ends on my own.... which, I'm grateful to report, has given me a couple of extra inches in length that I might not now otherwise have had.
Hope these comments have helped!

Looking good there my friend.....that facial hair came back with a vengeance !! To my mind, it looks better on you than clean shaven.
Thanks for Sharing

Awesome update! I really like your hair, I personally wouldn't trim anything, it looks really healthy.
Though I don't like buns I think you look nice in it.
(I've seen one of your previous updates with you in a bun)

Great update :-)
So are you going to let it grow to your goal or trim?
Cheers,

Looks great Alexander! I hear what you're saying about having long hair and ending up "concealing it" all the time. I would have my hair loose more often, but that's just not practical. But after all the clients have come and gone, I do hang loose and enjoy the moment. Just being able to do that once in a while is good enough for me.
