I stumbled upon a "Job Application" circulated by the Discordian Society - an anarchic-spoof religion from back in the 70s. Some highlights that might be amusing to this board (particularly the last bit):

Interesting, I couldn't just leave it alone without putting in my own smartass comments...lol
(Although I don't remeber the event, I am told that I was persent at the time.)
(Although questionable due to my need for increasingly stronger and stronger lenses)
(did you mean in recent history, or just in my imagination? answer reflex past history and current imagination)
I'm sure I could add more commentary if you need additional information to concider my ability to do the job for which I'm applying. However, I don't even know if I want a job. I'm concidering making a living as a hobo. I understand they make pretty good money for just standing around holding a sign that say "will work for food", but doesn't actually require work.
I was going to put in a job app for a company that supllied labor for refineries. I went into their trailer and on the wall was a picture of man with short hair and clean shaven. I turned around and walked out. tommie
I feel very fortunate to be working in IT. It seems that hair is not really an issue in this field, as all jobs I've held in this field while growing a mane took no issue with long hair. I just landed a new job a few weeks ago after being unemployed for a few months in Michigan, of all places. Glad to know the recession/depression isn't necessarily hurting us compared to all the "straight-shooters" out there with the standard buzz/short hair.
I.T. work is usually full of long hairs. I work in I.T. and never had any issues with my hair. I get the occasional tease, but thats all in fun anyway. Plus with all the hard work I do, I don't think my hair would be an issue anyway. :-)
