Hi there,
I read today that Kraft has launched a takeover if Cadbury, one of UK's best chocolate makers.

Then I read that Hershey and Nestle are interested as well. What is the world thinking of Cadbury's chocolate tasting like Hersheys....no thanks! It was bad enough that Nestle took over Rowntree Mackintosh and there choc is not that same.
Any lovers of Galaxy chocolate here lol.
When ever I come across the pond I do a great trade in exporting lovely Cadbury's choc :-)
Cheers,
John.B
That would be horrible and no more mini eggs for me......I can attest Cadbury's is much better over there, in America it's made by Hershey under license and isn't not the same.
I read the same thing and they rejected the offer so hopefully that settles it although I suspect not.
I had another thought.....what would those robots say about all this.

I do love the cadbury creme easter eggs. it's a good thing they don't sell those year-round, I'd have a big dentist bill.
Hershey bars taste like they're made with sugar and sawdust, to me at least. I understand that British commonly think of Hershey bars tasting like vomit ("sick") (or at least that's what my ex-Brit co-worker and his wife tell me).
Sometimes, where I work in London, people go for a holiday or a business trip to the US and bring back Hershey chocolate for us all to share.
And it does taste just like sick!
I've always thought it was just me, but it's nice to know that others think the same :-)
I'm glad I'm not the only one that doesn't like sawdust chocolate!
Well, Im not exactly sure what you're talkin about (never heard of Cadbury's) but there are alot of amish families around here that make some damn good chocolate, peanut butter, and other candy. WAY better than anything hersheys makes. Atleast Hershey cant buy them out. I only go and get some every couple months though 'cause its expensive as hell.
Mott's and Snapple. The other parts have lots of room for improvement and an upside profit potential.
It's really not about chocolate.
Cadbury's chocolate ooooooooooooooo!!!!
If you like dark chocolate try Bournville (also Cadbury's) it is gorgeous..
I think the texture & taste is the thing - I've had Cadburys in North America (imported from the UK to North America) and hated it because it melted (because of the heat), got stuck in the fridge (to stop it melting) and wasnt the same, yet the same chocolate .. in the UK you have it straight off the shelf and it's gorgeous..
Actually the Europeans say British chocolate is Vegulite (not chocolate) because of the coacoa content.. apparently 'we' don't 'do it right'
Don;t care, love it... try it..
Every time I go to visit friends in other countries, they ask me to bring some Cadbury's with me. Last time I went to Australia, I had four kilos of the stuff!
I had four kilos of the stuff!
I think I like you!!! lol
I know why they want to buy Cadbury's.
They want the Cadbury's ads, especially the one with the kids with the dancing eyebrows!
