Man My hair sucks! I don't know if it's too dry or too greasy or what! It feels greasy sometimes and dry others so I don't know, that's not really my problem though. It's frizzy as hell, i cannot even slightly run my hand through it or it goes all crazy and won't fall back down, and the top of my head is wavy AND basically 80% cowlicks making it one ugly mess. I've been growing for six months and if i pull it down it reaches the top of my eyes but if I don't it is far from reaching my eyes, I'm so sick of this! It always looks really bad and i'm guessing by one year (six more months) it will probably barely be at my eyes, I'm seriously considering cutting it. Well I just had to get this off my chest.
Ouch. I understand though, my hair is exactly like yours in regard to the wavy/cowlick crap. I've only been growing it out for three months however, and it needs about half an inch till it reaches my eyes.
Just keep waiting man, it'll suck, but the end result should pay off (if what people say here is true).
I can relate. I get the cowlick stuff - but when it gets long enough, I'm straightening it anyway, but that's because I'm going for a particular style.
I wouldn't worry about it so much, gravity should take it's effect in due course.
P.S. I've been growing for 5 months and my fringe is in my eyes if I straighten it out.
I know what you mean. Ive been growing for around 7 possibly 8 months now and its still frustrating at time (especially falling over my eyes ALL the time) but it will be worth it as everyone here says.
I know what you mean man.
I remember when I was at 6 months I had the world telling me to cut it and it really did look ridiculous, but give it time. I am now at 17 months and I'm very happy with my protein strands.
The trick is...Don't think about it. It really does help if you forget your growing your hair and get on with other things. Before long it will be dangling in your eyes and you'll be praying for when you can stick it behind your years. Once you get there you'll be looking forward to a ponytail. Just stick with it, don't give up.
I LOVE TO RELOAD DURING A BATTLE!
Hang in there, man. As your hair gets longer it will become easier to take care of and as your hair gets longer the it will also become less frizzy. I am very glad to be past the stage you are in now but I remember when I was. I suggest maybe wearing a hat after you wash it. That will mat the hair down. Just hang in there.
Yes the hair in the eyes is very annoying,im 8 months into growing my hair out since the begining of school. Its a little past my eyes but theres still those few that are right in my eyes they poke my eyes all the time and i constantly have to shake my head to the side when it gets so bothersome. And its true your bangs will get in the way if you take a picture with a camera, just happend yesterday, couldent believe it. I dont use gel so i just rough it out, i really hate gel because girls at my school like putting therer fingers through it and stuff and it is nice when the wind blows it back. But all i can really say is that if a girl could live with going through this stuff a man has to be able to do it 2X better with out all those hair clips and stuff that clip there hair back out of there eyes and stuff.
Totally agreeing with you guys. I'm at 6 months too and my hair really sucks at the moment, all fizzy and stuff (I have to put in about 2 handfulls of gell in my hair to keep it in place even though it still looks like crap) , but hopefully it will all pay off in about a years time when I have longer hair.
Just hang in there dude.
