The newspaper says that they want to outlaw advertizing alcohol
over there because you guys are drinking too much. I'll try to
get this on topic. Are you all trying to give long hairs a bad
name? ;-)
Oh dear it's one of those moments when your caught in the headlights and yes you certainly blame me!
It's funny quite alot of people with longhair I know do enjoy a drink or two! But let's be honest I'd enjoy the lovely warm dark beers we have over here with a few percent alcohol in them than fizzy weak premium lager then tend to see in some places in North America! Don't get me wrong there are some lovely microbrewies over there. But average Jack over likes a 6 pack of eau du Toilette water!
Bottoms up!
Cheers,
John.
Guilty as charged, m'lud.
I've got a bit of a weakness for Henley Dark and Hobgoblin myself, and living halfway between the two breweries doesn't help!
Then you add in the Chiltern Brewery and I get all confuddled and befused.
I've always found word of mouth the be the best advertising, whatever you're after, but I'm also enough of an individual not to depend on some bod with a glib tongue to sell me a product. If I see something new, I like to try it for myself (especially if it's alcoholic).
@John B, have you tried any of the Brewdog beverages? some of them would probably knock your socks off. I haven't tried them all yet, but I've enjoyed the ones I have tried so far - good combination of flavours from start to finish. However, I think I may give the Tokyo stout (18.2%) and £9.99 a bottle a miss until I don't have to drive the next day!
John.B, Guess I'm no average Jack. Can't stand most of the swill the media and big corporations try to pass off on us. Much prefer the "lovely warm darks". Couple of very good Microbreweries within 20 miles in my neck of the woods.
Short's and Right Brain Breweries!
peace, jonalbear
Toilet water tastes better than that!!
But yes we do have some great microbreweies which get all of my beer business.
Daniel
Yukkk! to me Beer tasts like pee LOL
Birdman
You're drinking the wrong beer!
...its OK, the Brit's Booze Advert Industry is counting on John's "underground, grass (?) roots, word of mouth (slurp-slurp) Movement" to carry them through this crisis....
Related Tip of the Day; The beer foam on the floor is good for your hair should you find yourself passed out and horizontal....
Yeah John, Keep up the good work !!
Wise words indeed Walter and keep have to the "real ale" flowing here in the UK :-)
The real issue is all these cheap alcho pops that are sold and people just blitzed over weekend and of course the opening times of pubs and bars have been extended as well.
