I just wanted to share with you guys that I reached the 5 year mark on my hair journey.
Overally, I'm very happy with how far I came, and I intend to grow my hair to my goal lenght, hoping that I will be able to. Clasic lenght should be a year and a half away or so.
Thank's for all the suport you gave so far. I'd just like to share a picture... not a good one... but I'm definitly looking for the years to come, hoping I can enjoy my hair for a very long time.

Hi Joao David,
I remember when you first posted here on MLHH. It was sometime in 2004, --- and your hair was still short at the time (and I was 4 years ahead of you in long hair growth, since it was in the year 2000 that I last had my hair cut short)...
I'm insanely jealous of your magnificent mane, Joao, --- and your growth rate is almost TWICE AS FAST as mine!!!
Ahhhh, to be young again (and have hair as thick and as full as yours is)!!! You are an inspration to ALL longhairs, Joao; but, especially encouraging to guys in your own age group... Another reason why I've said all along, "Grow it while you're young!" (when you have the full head of hair to do it totally awesome justice)!!!!!
Even if I was completely bald on top, I know I'd still be happier with my hair longer rather than short, regardless of whatever age I become. Having said that, though, it is really really cool to see your pics, --- because it's a shining example of what's possible for guys your age to accomplish (instead of the current tendency to sadly buzz so many of their manes all off)....
Onward & downward, men, --- to your butts & beyond!!!

Not to make you feel bad or anything Ken, but I got to that same length in about the same period of time (but I was in my mid to upper 20's back then) Unfortuneatly, I seem to have been stalemated right there ever since. And it's been 11.5 years since my last ....I can't bring myself to type it, it's that dreaded three letter "c" word. I've been enjoying that length for almost 7 years now. Wow, I can't believe it's been that long. But I've never looked back and have loved ever minute of this long hair journey.
Joao David, you have some fantastic hair and it is simular to mine in both color and type. However, I must admit that your hair is in better shape than mine (due to my own stupidity...lol) I wish you the best and ever longer hair.

5 years is such a long time to grow ones hair and its paid off very well to you my friend! you should give yourself a pat on the back for such long beautiful locks :)
I have to say your progress updates over the past five years have been some of the most inspiring on the board....and you have been blessed with incredible hair......love the ponytail...it deserves its own pony ! Ha!
