Why is it that the mustache coverage in the middle of my upper lip breaks away and won't stay neat and connected?
I always end up having to manually connect it together.
I hope you know what I am talking about.
Is it because I don't have enough stache coverage in that certain area? Or because I have to manually keep training it to stay that way?
It drives me crazy because I wish it would stay connected because it looks better and more complete when it is.
Do you possibly mean how the hairs on either side of what's a sort of verticle indentation on the upper lip coming straight down from the septum of the nose? I've never thought of this as a problem. I think it's just how the hairs grow. How would you go about connecting it? I guess you could comb it, or apply some beard wax, but that seems to be a lot of trouble. I bet it doesn't look as bad as you say.
I've got the same "problem" although I don't see it as a problem. Gues there is nothing to do but accept it.
I have no hair in the middle of my upper lip! I have two perfectly separated moustaches, and it's never been a problem. Lately, I'm sporting a handlebar 'stache all of the time, and it looks fine that way!
Wow, TWO mustaches on one guy! That is surely a first! :-{ { D >
Both my husband and I have mustaches (one each!) and neither one of ours has any break under the nose, but some men have that. It's just hereditary, so if that is a man's situation, he just has to live with it.

Yes, right and left one! Ahahah
Pic!
Hey, that way of counting is like smashing a bag of potato chips so you'll end up with more chips! Damn. I just counted your mustaches and mine, and you have more mustaches than I have. And I see from the pic that you have two beards, too!
That is a nice handlebar mustache, you have. I never could get my mustache to do that. I have very coarse wavy and curly mustache hairs, and they insist on going every which way, fanning out as they get longer. No way would they all be trained to lie together.

Wax,wax and more wax!

Hi ATP,
First of all, I don't view your topic as "Off-Topic" at all, --- it's about HAIR, right? Just because it's mustache hair and not head hair doesn't mean it's really off-topic (in my opinion, anyway - LOL).
Anyway, to answer your question (if I'm understanding it correctly)...
I think you are just talking about the REALITY of mustaches... That's just the way they ARE!! Facial hair, as opposed to head hair, in my opinion has ALWAYS behaved more weirdly.
Here's a special "Serenity Prayer", made up especially just for YOU:
"God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change about my mustache hairs, the courage to shave it off if it ends up driving me just too crazy, and the wisdom to hopefully NOT shave it off because it actually looks damn FINE on me!!!"
Does that help?

Hi again ATP,
Just to clarify...
My above "prayer" for you ends in a slightly / possibly confusing manner by stating at the very end, "looks damn FINE on me"
By "me", I didn't mean ken; I meant YOU, ATP!!
So, here is my more correct version of the Mustache Serenity Prayer. I think I like this re-wording better:
"Lord, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change about my mustache hairs; the courage to shave my 'stache off if the middle section of it ends up driving me just too crazy; and the wisdom to hopefully NOT shave my 'stache off, because it really looks pretty damn awesome just the way it is!"
There. Is that better? These are important prayers, ya know. As an unlicensed therapist and fake doctor, my advise is to say the above prayer 3 times before going to bed at night, followed by a warm glass of milk & honey... Let me know how you're feeling in the morning, OK?

When I had a mustache, it was so bushy and thick, it constantly tickle my nose and drove me insane. (that's where I at now!) I would have killed for a more tame 'stache
